Citation from The Sun Daily Malaysia: “On merchants who require a minimum purchase amount before a customer can pay with a credit card or those who impose a surcharge, Tan said consumers can lodge a complaint with BNM.”

Good to know this!

Somehow I am foreseeing future 'machine rosak' incidents in the future.

should take a picture of it if they displayed the minimum amount or surcharge sign and complain thumbup.gif

They should know what they're doing is wrong. Don't think they will display it with evidence.
Last night I encountered the same thing again, and I told the merchant I can actually lodge complaint to their acquiring bank, end up they allowed me to swipe the card without asking further

QUOTE(imnotabot @ Jun 14 2017, 07:05 AM)
Oh, I didn't know that. I thought it's their right not to absorb the charge and pass it to the customer, like how parking operators at shopping malls pass the charge of using TnGo to the customer.  sweat.gif
No need to tell them I think. The cashiers are just following order. Emailing BNM with evidence should be enough.

Don't think they will display evidences for us to snap, usually by verbal.

However, I am travelling to Kuala Lumpur on Friday and wishing to swipe my Hotel's payment with my MACH for more cash back. But in this case, i do not received my MACH credit card yet, is it possible to get my CVV from HLB so i can fill in my credit card detail thru booking.com? Meanwhile, i have seen my MACH credit card appeared on my HLB Connect. Please advise.

Thank you.

I think bank wont discose the CVV to u, until u receive ur physical card. MACH which package u choose? Hotel got cash back? Come to worst u just swipe it with ur essential card which have 0.6% cash rebate too.

Oh ya. Thanks. I chose trendsetter. I have just checked, there is no cash back on hotel. So, I will just swipe it with my Essential Credit Card.

I'm just wondering, what will happen to my credit cards outstanding balance if I were to suddenly pass away?
I always pay my credit card statement in full every month. And at any moment of time, the money that is used to pay the statement is available in my bank accounts.
Does anyone know the exact procedure? Will the respective bank automatically deduct my savings account to pay for the outstanding balance when they freeze my account? Or my dependant (my wife) will be responsible to pay the outstanding balance?

OCBC doesn't waive AF, no need to try on that.
I was an existing user back then and wanted to apply 365, they charged me upfront when I got the card and they refused to waive it. I called to cancel the card and they straight cancelled it without any attempt to retain me.

Ic. Isn't it 365 got 3 years annual fee free?

I did not remember I get charged for annual fee for the past few years until now.

I recalled last time I got charged annual fee for titanium card, yes they did not waive it but then the cso that time recommended me to change to this card and cancel the titanium one instead.

I didn't recall OCBC Ti has AF, I remember it was free for life.

I'm not sure if it gives three years now but definitely not easy to waive.
