QUOTE(realitec @ Jun 2 2017, 03:29 PM) Okay noted. I wonder if this question i ask in correct section. If i go senheng to purchase a phone for RM3699 with 0% interest installment. However, my card is only 3000 limit. Can i settle the 699RM in the shop and swipe my card RM3,000 for 0% interest? You may, if the shop allows. However, after you swiped the amount, your card limit will automatically become 0.

QUOTE(findingdory @ Jun 10 2017, 11:50 PM) Nowadays I always tried to use credit cards whenever possible to get the max benefits of the cards, such as cash back, points, etc. There are merchants who do not impose min spending rule and fee, eg, guardian accepts card even for less than rm10 spending, which are very much to my liking. However pretty frustrated when merchants imposed minimum spending, eg rmxx to use card, or charge x% for the total amount spent. today encountered again merchant wanted to charge me 1.5% for rm300 spending, end up i paid cash and did not earn any points. wanted to ask is this allowed by the banks agreement? ask here

I thought it's their right not to absorb the charge and pass it to the customer, like how parking operators at shopping malls pass the charge of using TnGo to the customer. QUOTE(findingdory @ Jun 11 2017, 09:28 AM) thanks! great help, can tell those merchants loud that i can lodge complain No need to tell them I think. The cashiers are just following order. Emailing BNM with evidence should be enough.
