Hi,

I was searching for how to pay credit card with PTPTN and Aeon Installment(recently bought phone) to earn cash back.

I am using Essential Hong Leong Bank credit card. Any advise?

Thank you.
*
PTPTN = MBB 2 AMEX - Weekends only. Confirmed to have CB for now.

I am not sure whether UOB YOLO offers this or not.

Aeon installment is a debt on it's own. For installments, you can't pay using CC. Unless you were saying the installment was tied to your Aeon card. Then you can opt for 0% Balance Transfer.

What If for 12 months, we just pay minimum payment. So the interest is calculated at the end of 13th month correct?
*
Outstanding = 1000

Paid = 50 ringgit minimum

Balance = 950

950 * 1.5% interest = 14.25

Total outstanding = 950 + 14.25 = 964.25

Thus, if you pay minimum, you will be slapped with automatic finance charge per month.

Hi, thanks for reply. I don't know, my friend did this. She said slowly RM50 RM50 pay. I told her the interest is high, not worth for not paying full.
*
Maybe you misunderstood her.

Either way, just pay in full would do.

The rest is not important.

Thanks.

Till your salary increases tongue.gif

If you are earning below 3k, you won't get any increment till you earn above that 36k marker.

Okay noted. I wonder if this question i ask in correct section. If i go senheng to purchase a phone for RM3699 with 0% interest installment. However, my card is only 3000 limit. Can i settle the 699RM in the shop and swipe my card RM3,000 for 0% interest?
*
You may, if the shop allows.

However, after you swiped the amount, your card limit will automatically become 0.

Hi all,

If a bank is unable to explain the abnormally high interest charges in my credit  card statement when I request for the calculation, can I bring the matter up to Bank Negara?

They are citing that the figures are calculated by the system and it would take a long time to obtain the calculation, all those excuses.
*
On technicality basis, you have a standing to argue.

Thank you for the link . To collect points or rebate which is better is you own a credit card ? hmm.gif
*
Depends.

If you are a high spender, points might be more rewarding.

But cash back ain't too bad either. See what you want and how you spend.

Hey guys, which credit card is the best to get realistic miles for free flight tickets?? Is the may bank premier still the best?? I currently have a Citibank premier miles, but since the reward system changed, it's quite useless.
*
I am holding a M2P and I still think M2P is the fastest way to get airmiles, providing you can use the AMEX.

Hi all

Currently working overseas (thus no EPF/EA what not) but interested to get a credit card with lounge access (preferably worldwide). Tried for the AMBank WMC/VI and got rejected and as expected Ambank do not reveal the reasons for the rejection.

However looking through forum I suspect the following:
1. Foreign income is not converted thus looking at 1:1
2. No local income, tax and EPF documents

Can I please ask if I should try again for other cards like the Platinum with limited access and/or other cards preferably with lounge access and no annual fee for life?

Thanks
*
Foreign income usually not converted by banks.

Best way is become a premier banking customer. Banks usually offer VI for that kinda level of investment. Most VI comes with limited lounge visits anyways.

Or you can pledge FD for the Ambank WMC but you'll need >30k which I don't think would be a problem for you.

Thank you for your reply and advice

Will have to call/walk in a branch I guess when I am next back but why can't they reveal the reasons or request further supporting documents and methods to save time for customer and bank. confused.gif
*
If they need more supporting documents, they will usually contact you.

But if rejected, they won't share the reason unless you know the officer in charge laugh.gif

IF you can get premier banking, better la. Next time want to get anything can just contact your manager.

Less hassle and the bank practically knows you already in some way since you have to be somewhat loaded to be a premier banking customer tongue.gif

Better service to come brows.gif

Owh ok I now know how they calculate utilisation percentage..
But is there really "30% utilisation gives you a good record" thing?
*
No such thing.

I usually max out my card heavily every month. But I've yet to be rejected from any loan facilities I've applied for.

Sorry if this is a repeated question, but may i know what is the difference between visa signature and visa infinite?
*
Signatures are 1 level below Infinite.

Basically features are unique to each cards but Infinite usually enjoy higher discounts and etc.

Hmm.. Not sure but hers is in MV and The Gardens.

That's express laugh.gif

Usually card center wont process FD pledge cases coz the FD slip needs to be kept by the bank.
