There is a Tracer GT parked next to my bike, and it sees use only once every 2-3 weekends at best. Truly curious how the owner is willing to dump 60K into a bike that is parked 99% of the time.

I am doing about 4-6K km annually and I am already finding my bike way underutilized. Also big bikes are terrible for rush hour commute in a city... wish I knew better.

maybe he have a small scooter for daily?
i also did not ride my sopabike daily
biasa once a week or 2 max
cheaper to maintain

was in the same dilemma as you previously when i wanted to sell off my old bike
ended up selling it with imotorbike glenmarie (cause theyre the only one open until 8pm)

surveyed a few bike shops, but they only offered around 2.3k - 2.8k
imotorbike offered 4.3k after a few rounds of negotiations.
straight away thumbprint and handover.

bike mentioned / previously owned is a benelli 249s

the inspection by them took some time... 30 - 45 mins. i visited their HQ in Glenmarie.

once settled with the inspection, they'll come back to you on the price theyre offering to buy (usually a lot lower than your price)

in my case i countered back saying:
- bike starts and runs (no semput / lag or loss of power)
- VC done, tyres changed recently, all lubricants are new, yada yada

but they'll try their best to not reach your asking price due to cosmetic damages (damaged cfairings / oversets, jatuh bodo damages and what not)

lastly can include saying that you've done market research and bike with similar mileage and condition is offered at such price, and then they'll try to offer you another buying price closer to your selling price

once agreed, they'll prepare the agreement on the spot, verify details, sign and thumb print

amount purchased was transferred within 48 hours (from my experience)

Any suggestions for place to buy bike helmet in Petaling Jaya or surrounding area?

I previously bought from PJ Wah but seems they're close on Sundays.

I'm new to bikes and helmet got stolen while parked at an LRT station. In such scenario, is it better to bike home without helmet or leave bike overnight until new helmet bought?

Most shoos.r.closed on sundays la

Get a new helmet first...dont ride without helmet. N honestly never leave ur helmet anywhere unless its in a locked box.

Would recommend buying 2 helmets....1 for main, n another, cheapo one for spare..just for emergencies like this or for if u ever need to carry a pillion

Taking about things stolen. My water bottle holder got stolen from my dominar parked at my own condo parking lot. LOL.

I mean WTF. its not like its an expensive item that you cant afford to buy. Its not a quick release clamp so the perpetrator actually had allen keys to open the clamp. I first thought i had lost it while riding, but the water bottle was sitting next to the bike without the holder........

honestly, can't brain it.

Do tyre shops provide trade-in value for tyres that are still quite new?

Thinking to bring my bike in to swap out the rear Corsa S123 150/60/17 to a 140/70/17 profile tyre.

That doesn't sound normal.. my experience lost 1-1.5 psi after ~400 km.
And I check every two weeks on my tyre pressure.
So usually only fill up the tyre once a month

Thats not normal. Check for leaks. My guess your valve is leaking. Sometimes they need to screw the valve insert a bit tighter.

But do you fill the tyre when its hot? Difference between a hot and cold tire could be 1-2 psi. So if you filled it when hot, youd see that 10-15kpa when cold.

I dont have a pressure gauge to check(need to get one), i ride for 2km to the nearest petrol station to pump every week and every time it drops 15-20 kpa. dunno 2km is enough to warm up the tire or not
should check the valve i guess.
