You mean buy used Honda CB250R?
I also like the look of it but 10l tank compared to 12l fuel tank of leoncino, does it affect much of riding experience hmm.gif

If it is just around town or about 100km to 200km or so, shouldn't affect much and the bike can easily handle it on a full tank. Only if you ride from state to state, then you might need to know where the petrol stations are along the way. Otherwise, I don't see a problem

QUOTE(jaycee1 @ Jul 25 2022, 03:07 PM)
depends if you do a lot of highway rides at speed. The 250 singles are pretty good on gas. City riding is no issues since you have lots of petrol stations everywhere. Highway you just need to plan your stops properly. Seriously on a buzzy single, i doubt your hand/feet and bum will outlast your fuel range.

Speed makes a huge difference with a bike as we have the aerodynamics of a house brick.

The difference of riding 100-110kmh balik kampung and bantai 150kmh on the same trip to ipoh on my dominar is 1/3 tank. I can do about 250-270kms highway, vs 200kms at speed till empty. The difference is having to do a fuel stop by tapah or simpang pulai, or getting all the way back to ipoh from KL with fuel to spare. The dominar has a 13L tank.

Whatever your tank size, the general rule of thumb is, fuel up when you can, not when you need to.
*
I see.. since we have plenty of petrol station the tank size difference wont really do much in term of experience.

Also do China bikes have bad reputation around here? Brand like Benelli, Zontes, etc.
I'm attracted to cafe racer / neo-racer look but most of the bike cheap price (aside from CB250R) seem to suggest they are china bikes?

Many malls won't allow you to bring a helmet with you openly inside the mall. Don't know why, maybe to discourage shoplifting.

The easiest way to get around this is to carry it inside a bag, even in the drawstring sack that typically comes with the helmet.

Me, I got a 59 liter top box to easily deal with both helmets when going to the mall with my wife.

i wasn't thinking about top box as an option. thanks icon_rolleyes.gif

Does everyone use bike with ABS here for highway usage?
If you aren't, what safety measure do you use?
Also is there a braking technique that is effective like ABS (for bikes that dont have ABS)?

Why do you want ABS for highway?
*
More risks on highway, rain, vehicle stopping abruptly and whatever factors that could lead you braking in panic.
My question is about what do you do when no ABS anway

Anybody have tried the new wmoto xdv250i? Saw some youtube vids.

RM19k is a bit steep. Read somewhere on fb some shops selling it at 24k OTR all in.

Looks very nice, price kinda high but maybe justifiable for the utility it provide I guess..
Gonna wait for more user review

Guys, for the purpose of daily commute into KLCC from Kajang, and a weekly weekend ride back to hometown (Merlimau, Melaka but close to Johor), would Dominar 400 or Pulsar NS200 make more sense?

Having done some research myself, my thoughts on the bikes:

1. Dominar 400 - should be good for the weekly ride home, but given it's 182KG weight and size, would it be too much to handle in daily KL traffic? If it helps, I will be departing home at around 9AM everyday, and leaving work at 7.
2. Pulsar NS200 - This seems much more manouvreable in traffic, but still have just enough for me to cruise back to hometown at comfortable speed? (I don't ride fast, guess no more than 120kmph). Only front ABS though.

I was looking at ER6F initially, loved the looks, but too bad there's no ABS. Feel free to recommend alternatives up to 15K new or used.
*
with that budget you can find used z250 with ABS
i also saw some benelli leoncino 500 used around that price in mudah

the cause of jatuh bodoh

going slow as was trying to park the bike next to the road to light a ciggie.... right ankle was already hurting due to inflamed tendon...didnt notice the stone... ran over it.. lost balance on the right towards my painful right leg...so leg couldnt hold the weight n jatuh.... best part... bike (crash bar specifically) fell right onto my already hurting right leg....

also lucky was wearing a helmet... hit my head on the road quite hard.

no damages to the bike except a small scratch on the crashbar, handguard n a tiny spot on the muffler.

shocking.gif damn.. hope your leg is fine

at least the bike still ok

I think thats the sweet spot between big bike feeling and small bike feeling.. Experienced rider probably think 500cc small enough

Wow that is mega rare. Don't think they brought it in officially so parallel import? New in the US was going for around 30k usd, wonder how much he spent in total for it.

Anyway, scrapped my Cb650r plans, found this for a price I cannot resist with only 10km on the odo. Was a showroom display bike which was registered to the bike shop owner but it was never used. Just collected it today. I never thought I'd own a literbike one day, but this is probably the cheapest literbike new currently laugh.gif

Here's me at the Honda dealership to reclaim back my rm1k deposit

When are you buying used motorcycle what do you need to ask/know in identifying if the used bike is actually in good condition as advertised?

Also any list of which shop that sell used bikes that are reputable? (not lying, know what they are talking about, good service, etc.)
