Big Hoo Haa across CFMOTO forums today GLOBALLY. Seems suddenly CFMOTO decided to hide most of the higher tier connectivity features under a monthly subscription paywall. This includes the digital key, cast navigation, location, ride tracking, alerts and future OTA updates.

Caught all of us by surprise as this was not announced previously.

Would be interesting how this will pan out.

No official response by CFMOTO Malaysia as of yet.

I would hold off buying a CFMOTO bike for the meantime if connectivity features is something you are looking into. Will have to see how this sticks.

Worst affected are those that purchased the CFMOTO Tbox (the brains behind the features) separately and now have to pay to use the features.

How to fill up motorcycle fuel tank?

Previously with a car, I would insert the nozzle all the in.

However I found when I do it with my Kriss, from meter near E, only 1.5L would go in before clicking.

Is it ok to just put the nozzle in enough it stays in place? Tried this morning and filled up 2.3L from meter near E. A little scary (being noob) I could see fuel near the top when peaking through hole and my meter needle overshot F.

hold the nozzle, the tip can go in just a bit, or hovering above also can
you will see fuel sloshing in the gas tank, is normal

in some cases, I would fill up all the way to the brim then cover the gas cap, so to max out my distance to travel

Good buy since this condition used to go for around 20~22k, possibly due to the introduction of Ninja 500.

agree, I think the 500 has lesser hp than the 400
not sure how much difference in real life

Probably negligible. But you get much more torque (and lower) in the midrange for the 500 for better rideability.

I read a bit the cycleworld, they increased the stroke length to make it 451cc, definitely a lot of difference engine response and behavior

38Nm at 8k vs 42.6Nm at 6k - that is a huge difference, but the 400 has 90% of peak torque starting at 5k RPM dy

45hp @ 10k vs 44.7hp @ 9k
for sure the 400 is much easier to handle

each bike will suit different kind of riders, I personally don't mind either but the 500 might be less fatigue inducing for long rides

Yes. But I was referring to the HP that you mentioned in your earlier post.

The low end torque definitely would be felt as a much better improvement..

If your bike engine braking has been feeling noticeably lesser than usual, does it mean your clutch plate is thinning out?

It feels like that on my bike engine braking but I couldn't find any answer on the internet if it is related to clutch plate or what is causing it.

engine braking can be a lot of things
since you didn't change anything, maybe I'll ask some questions?

clutch plate thinning:
- at high gear, if you pull the throttle hard enough you can feel the clutch slip
- are you using regular EO, or something different this time? I've heard about some EO unsuitable for wet clutch, but I've used car/HDEO/gear oil in my 2 strokes before with no noticeable slip (but maybe the bikes are not powerful enough to cause it)

when the engine braking is happening, does the firing sound regular, or is there more burbling, or popping?
try open the throttle a bit, and observe the engine firing sound - I've had plug/coil related issues before, and it causes irregular firing on one of my cylinders, so going downhill with the throttle slightly open, the engine is like rally car doing misfiring before entering a turn

maintenance wise:
- VC
- air filter
- spark plugs
- chain slack (driveline/chain slack may affect engine braking due to the jerking motion)

fuel:
- try different brand or petrol station fuel?

no feeling of clutch slipping at top gear, still pulling as usual
i used different engine oil this time, previously motul 7100 now castrol power1 ultimate superbike

been taking care of this bike pretty timely

just done VC about 10k km ago along with air filter cleaning and spark plug replacement
last I check the chain slack is still within spec (21-30mm vertical movement)

im not hearing any odd sound coming from the engine, same sound everytime i ride

The bike doesnt have a slipper clutch does it?

If its just engine related, a loss of compression could reduce engine braking. Maybe do a leak down test/compression test. Or if your valve clearances are off. Valve clearances usually dont affect compression that much unless you have uneven wear on the valve seats. But anyway a compression test/leak test will usually point you in the correct direction to where to start pin pointing the issue.
