The extra ram is a welcome improvement for this model as the Symbian OS eats up a lot of ram so the extra ram is indeed helpful, hopefully it is not as sluggish as P990i. I've sold my P990i. Hahaha Hate to say this but it's the worst model from SE. Luckily, managed to sell it RM1450 to my friend, he didn't know that the AP price for SE P990i has dropped to RM1266 but most shops in Penang are still selling RM1860 (most probably some old stocks). Glad to have get rid of it before the price drops further. Now, I'll just wait for P1i first, hopefully the AP price is below RM2K, I don't think it will be as expensive as P990i as it's not meant to replace it in the first place. It's the successor to M600i.
I guess we don't need GPS yet but of course, it's good if SE can incorporate GPS in the future via firmware or software updates.
Well, not really, it is still using the BST-33 battery but for other countries, the P990i and M600i are shipped with BST-34 battery, it's a Li-Pol 1120 mAh battery. However, this extra capacity battery is not available in Malaysia. I know you can get it from the UK and other European countries, perhaps I can ask my cousin to buy one for me. Imagine, my K800i with a BST-34 battery, it should probably last another day extra for its standby time. For P1i, they should ship it with BST-34 or preferably a higher capacity battery as that device drains a lot of juice, Wi-Fi, 3G, large touchscreen, etc.

Rm1.2k wor....
but i tested on M600i....feel it pretty lag..
Actually, dun put too much hope on this phone, because everything is the same as p990i but with larger ram, integrated memory, and better camera. I believe the sluggishness of P990i is due to the UIQ3 OS, as many apps are not fully optimized for it. And also, the transition effect is making it sluggish.

Standard battery, Li-Ion 1120 mAh
gsmarenaBut in the review, it is stated that the phone comes with BST-33 950 mAh battery, like the one found in P990i and M600i. Check
here.

When you remove the battery cover, you will see the standard Sony Ericsson BST-33 950 mAh Li-Polymer battery that is rather frequently used by the manufacturer in a number of different handsets. According to official numbers, the battery should provide the P1 with enough power to keep it going for up to 350-440 hours of standby time or up to 5-10 hours of call time depending on whether you would use it in a UMTS network which takes its toll on battery life. Unfortunately, we could not test the phone's battery life since we used the phone heavily during our tests and thus the battery life we experienced was not indicative for the real-life performance of the handset. The SIM card slot of the P1 is not your regular Sony Ericsson one and the card itself slots into a place next to the camera lens.
