wow. Wifi with 3.2MP camera. if this phone is for real, damn. can't wait for it.

I also think it will be around that price or maybe even cheaper. Since they used the same design, i wouldn't expect the price to be much.

And if they price any higher than P990i, people might as well go for P990i (less megapixel cam but has the functional flip keypad and bigger screen). I doubt the internal memory will make much difference to the average consumer (consumers who don't surf on forums and find out about all this).

P990i was a POS.

that's why the price went down so fast.

if the P1i follows the P990i's footsteps in terms of bugs and stability, we can expect the same price drop.

yeah. no suprise for the pictures taken with the P1i. very acceptable for a 3.2mp AF camera.

lol. i'm not too impressed with K800i anyway.

but it's good that this P1i can be good too.

the big screen will really help, which is why i love taking photos with my PDA phones.

Still not very happy with UIQ3 interface and functionality on my P990i (without counting in the bugs/problems). They still have a long way to go before coming into the same league as Windows Mobile Professional.

But quite happy with the P990i camera actually since the AF lock is fast but not always accurate.

I think the W960i is better than P1i. I can't help but imagine that the P1i is just a m600i with changed internals (which it really is).

as i said b4, the P1i will really have trouble selling because of the existence of the P990i in the market, which of course, people would perceive as being better than the P1i.

but actually i think it is more ergonomic to use, faster and better than P990i's proper QWERTY k/b which is too small really.

Yeah. The pics looks rather dull and uncoloured.

In this sense, I would say the quality from the P990i is better a bit.

after what you said, i reviewed the pictures again, and yes, most definitely is those what you said. xD

but it is suprising how the sensor can choke on colouration in the pic of the leaves under an intense sunlight where the K800i (even K750i) would not have such a problem. i've experience the same problem on my N90 before too, though.

My P990i's camera can compare with the K750i what.
Heck, the AF-lock is much faster than K750i and K800i too.

It's just a matter of what sensor and module they use for the camera. I'm still not convinced that the P1i's camera quality is bad until I've seen some proper pictures taken with it.

Will have to see later if the W960i has good UI for thumb/single-hand usage. Otherwise, having that touch-scroll thing (yes just like on the HTC Touch only ) would be kinda pointless and just a novelty.

PDA phones are phones of the future.

i couldn't agree more.

seriously, the P990i at its release did piss a lot of people off which had faith in SE. the P990i was completely rubbish during release, and should not even hit the market. basically, an unfinished product which had not gone through thorough testing. only later they managed to come out with a stable firmware to render the phone usable but at that time people would alreaddy have sold off their useless p990i because they were so darn pissed off, i doubt those people will ever bother buying an SE smartphone again.

the price really cannot be RM2k. HTC Touch, imho, is a better choice for that price.
