Wow, just sold a few units P1, the P1 is even more heavy than P990i.
and the start-up loading time is even slower than P990i This post has been edited by Renee: Aug 1 2007, 12:29 PM |

P1i's price dropped again in SG?
That's not a good sign. I wonder what's causing it to drop like nobody's business in such a short period. |

QUOTE(StratOS @ Aug 1 2007, 06:05 PM) i couldn't agree more. seriously, the P990i at its release did piss a lot of people off which had faith in SE. the P990i was completely rubbish during release, and should not even hit the market. basically, an unfinished product which had not gone through thorough testing. only later they managed to come out with a stable firmware to render the phone usable but at that time people would alreaddy have sold off their useless p990i because they were so darn pissed off, i doubt those people will ever bother buying an SE smartphone again. Guess it's because of demand and supply thingy, the P1i is clearly receiving very lukewarm response, I'm sure the price will drop to RM15XX or maybe less than that.QUOTE(Renee @ Aug 1 2007, 12:26 PM) Wow, just sold a few units P1, the P1 is even more heavy than P990i. Yikes, from what you say, the P1i is a step behind P990i. For my P990i, waiting it to boot also terribly slow, have to wait a few seconds only reach the enter pin number screen. My P900i can do it much faster and less problems. Of course, from the reviews, the P1i is more stable than P990i, no more restarting or laggy feel anymore. Of course, they forgot to mention the start up time for P1i in the reviews. I have mixed feelings about this, not sure wanna get this baby or Nokia's E90 (this one gotta wait for year end bonus) and the start-up loading time is even slower than P990i QUOTE(StratOS @ Aug 1 2007, 06:05 PM) Yeah, most of my friends will go for these brands if they're looking for a PDA phone, I don't consider P990i or P1i a PDA phone or even a smart phone, these Symbian OS powered phones have very poor third party software support. That's disappointing to know since it will be under utilized. |

QUOTE(lek_e30 @ Aug 2 2007, 09:27 AM) Yeah me too...... had a shock to find out that my P990i is worst than my old P900i. Luckily when I bought it, the price of P990i has dropped to a thousand plus. I'm quite hesitated to give P1i a try unless of course, I get to test it for a week. Hopefully, some of my friends will buy it. I wouldn't want to be the guinea pig again for this model.QUOTE(limyusiong @ Aug 2 2007, 10:09 AM) Guess, that the phone is not in demand. Hopefully, we'll see the price drop here in Malaysia soon. This will spell trouble for the ori sets if the price for AP ones keep on dropping. I'm pretty sure the ori sets will be priced close to RM3K and this has been so for the previous models. |
