I believe this could be root issue. I face similar issue before.
Where my box is original rooted, but unrooted with unsu scripts.

With that my box can start aotg however alot channel cant open or opened in SD mode.

The way i solved this is flashed magisk and hide root for aotg.

This has been working for my 2 S912 boxes, H96pro+ and T95Zplus cloned.

I do not have an Asterruk premium account. I'd be happy to test on mine if you are willing to temporarily share the login details. What firmware and hardware version are you running? Mine's the non-voice 3GB+32GB ROM, with HW version "LB"..Can be found on the bottom of the device.

This makes sense and if it were mine, I'd flash the hell out of it to get it to work... For now, keeping it stock until asked by owner to do so..

Casting is the worst ever, troublesome, not smooth image. Sorry I don't like any cast.

I will try hide root later when I feel comfortable tinkering with the box, for now I keep it default 1st. Thanks for your useful advice. I will keep that in mind.

Mine is the android tv OS with voice, 3GB + 32GB. All stock firmware. Not so comfortable sharing the premium acc, it belongs to my relative and the no of devices are full. I guess like other taiko said, it’s the root issue.

just upgrade my minix u9-h firmware to this Android tv OS,
way more better for me to use now
also i did sideload astro-on-the-go apps ( Astro GO_8.1.98), look ok to me.
tips: before sideload the astro apps, u need to install the chrome browser 1st( the asto login is using browser), by using voice search "launch chrome", then it will install for u.

Hi all, completely noob here. Looking for a tv box that can see movies. Currently my tv can't even view local free tvs, don't know what happen to the cables.

Also if the tv box can see Australia channels (ABC, ABC News, Seven, Ten etc) that will be the best.

We were all noobs once.. Put in some work first.. See page one.. then read last 30 or so pages.. Return when you have a better crafted question and you are less of a noob.

Actually, it can.. As I shared earlier.. Just requires some elbow grease that's all. I'd say, If I had to get a cheap decent box now.. I'd get it and bend it to my will... To be safe, make sure to get the 32GB ROM + voice device.. Hopefully, you get a different hardware version to mine (similar to guym instead).. However, I understand that not all would like to go through such hassles.. In which case, Minix Neo U9-H is an easy buy.

Since I own 3 different OS Video Streaming devices. Just like share this 3 devices capability in common application support.

Some apps required sideload.

Movies iTunes Play in others device only applicable for US iTunes account on selected participant movie company in Movies Anywhere.

In summary, they is no perfect video streaming devices.

question related to android box but not sure whether it is appropriate to ask here or not. is it necessary or good to invest on vpn to be used on android boxes. any drawbacks or benefits in using it?

- unlocked us youtube content
- unlocked us playstore, discounted app, music
- unlocked directv subscription
- unblock ISP throttling on p2p streaming + torrent
- block gov monitoring

cons
- netflix actively block the ip address, only 2 top vpn company can fight with it. the rest might not work after few months.
- best utilization need special ap router which support vpn, so whole family can enjoy

all the apps that I watch on my android box will stop, hang, or lag after around half an hour of watching, anyone knows why? Cannot be speed issue as I have 50mbps. It's very frustrating. apps like redboxtv, even kodi, etc always will hang afte a while

noob question...what does is mean by "sideload" ?

Means to manually install using the installation file (apk) versus installing from the official Google Play Store.

Yup.. Most if not all of us here depend on sideloading apps to max box usage.. Else be stuck only with authorized apps.

Not officially available at Google Play Store or Apple AppsStore. Need manually download from 3rd party site.
