This is a good box to substitute Minix U1. Have you tried UniFi TV? I remember you are using UniFi, so should have UniFi TV account right?

As for Astro Go, since it can be installed and if free channels work, premium channels will work too.

I believe this could be root issue. I face similar issue before.
Where my box is original rooted, but unrooted with unsu scripts.

With that my box can start aotg however alot channel cant open or opened in SD mode.

The way i solved this is flashed magisk and hide root for aotg.

This has been working for my 2 S912 boxes, H96pro+ and T95Zplus cloned.

I do not have an Asterruk premium account. I'd be happy to test on mine if you are willing to temporarily share the login details. What firmware and hardware version are you running? Mine's the non-voice 3GB+32GB ROM, with HW version "LB"..Can be found on the bottom of the device.

I try factory reset for the 1st time. Can open the AOTG and when I click login, it launches the pre-installed TV App (Kodi rebrand). I think somehow it try to launch the TV App as browser to login. After all the auto-update done, my AOTG can't open anymore, keep crashing no matter what. Tried uninstalling all updates, no luck.

Then I factory reset for 2nd time. This time I go in Google Play Store and disable auto update right away. Uninstalled the TV App, installed Chrome. This time AOTG login correctly launch chrome for the login applet. However, when I am inside the AOTG app, non of the channel or video loads.....it just keep trying to and trying with the circle spinning indefinitely. meanwhile I try on my iPhone using the same internet connection, all video load instantly in AOTG app right away. I guess I have to try the MAGISK method to hide the root from AOTG. Wish me good luck!

Try updating or wait for an update. Happened to mine before last week after an update of YouTube for ATV. Now it is fine again.

The app will play a video for like 1min then blank out. Only way to recover is by force close it but it will happen again. During the moment I just use normal YouTube app.

ISPs, services,  governments, etc have been known to throttle or restrict access to certain services. I won't go into more detail since you are talking about illegal stuffs here..plus China app and China channels. If you've done the necessary such as.. Using a decent ethernet cable, changed default DNS settings to more favorable one and ensuring a healthy home network. Still have painful buffering that only goes away with the VPN? Unfortunately, you either have to find another, more compatible source or keep paying for the VPN. Welcome to the world of cord cutting.
