Hye just want to ask what pro & cons for quad Vs octal core for Android box? Not really sure as will just use for movie and watch TV channel. Is quad good enough or for for octal?

anyone use H96 mini? what it mean HD in and HD out?

I believe boxes with HDMI-IN ports are able to accept incoming data for recording purposes. Basically DVR capable.

It's definitely a good box.. Yeah, able to login and browse the app.. Unfortunately, I'm unable to play premium Unifi TV channels either through the Phone or Tablet version.. I downloaded latest apks from apkpure's website..

For some stupid reason.. TV1 & TV2 plays instantly.. Rest throws the error above.. Running TM.APAD.7.8.14

Dunno.. Booted up for the first time and been like this. I tried checking for a newer firmware via OTA but it fails after trying to check..reporting "Check Failed!Check Your OTA Server Agent".. 

Edit: Currently running firmware version M8S PRO L-userdebug 7.1.2 NHG47L-20180316.143701.V0213 and it seems stable.. Been using non-stop for couple hours now.. No force quits or sluggishness..etc.. What firmware version running on yours? Can check OTA successfully?

I'm planning to use tv box to connect to internet browser such as google chrome and watch movie thru streaming website such as kissasian.net.

Can Mi Box do this? I don't mind using bluetooth keyboard and mouse.

Hey there, need help, a total newbie here. Just got a Sony X75F Android TV. Been trying to download AOTG, but to no avail. Tried to sideload the app but AOTG keep on crashing upon launching. Can anyone help? Thank you.

For the unifi tv error, i guess you are using lan cable? Try use wifi instead to see if it works.

Andrewtst Sorry for troubling you man. That sure took some real effort to gather all information and arrange them in an orderly manner. Yes my budget is quite low, because I don't want to spend much for Netflix as Astro is still my primary source for series etc atm.

megahertz I read the first post before asking here. And maybe I misunderstood somewhere because I thought that those expensive Android TVs are exclusive for gaming and maybe hard-core stuff like you do normally on your flagship smartphone. That's why i believe even with cheap android tv, you can stream 4k media without a problem.

The information on the first page is too in depth for me to understand. Also, a quick google search regarding android tv brought a lot of results with those illegal IPTVS (with android tv recommendation by the seller). I wonder why the recommendation there is different with here. That's why to clarify, I decided to ask for expert opinion here.

Since smartphones are getting cheaper, why not android tv too? That was my mindset before being explained by you guys here.

if u were already on android phone...

just download kodi or netflix apps thru your phone, and hook it up with hdmi-usb converter to your tv... or if u own smart tv...miracast to your tv...

as simple as that...
after all.. those android tv box is just your mobile phone without touchscreen...
but if u were willing to increase the budget amount at about rm250 onwards....then most of device here is available within range...

Talking about Mircast, my colleague was asking the other day if can Miracast AoTG to her Smart TV... She is using iOS, it is for her husband and they don't know how to do it. I don't have a Smart TV so cannot verify.

I wanna recommend her to use Android box but maybe too late now, it is for WC now...

This is a good box to substitute Minix U1. Have you tried UniFi TV? I remember you are using UniFi, so should have UniFi TV account right?

As for Astro Go, since it can be installed and if free channels work, premium channels will work too.

My mecool m8s Pro L Astro G0 has problem, some channel like AEC, WAh Lao T... cannot load and play. Only Astrxx arena can play. How about yours and @voncrane?
