Brought my box all the way to India. Two problems now.
1) Bad Internet connection, I doubt I can stream any content. 2) Plugged in HDMI cable which I brought from Malaysia, I doubt it's spoilt as I was still using it before I put in my luggage. 4 ports on the TV but none detects my box. Tried with my laptop, also cannot detect. FML. Gotta talk to hotel fellows tomorrow. If it's too slow and I cannot load content, I have to accept the fate but if HDMI ports cannot use really I can here... One month plus here. Is there any chance that HDMI ports can be disabled on a TV? |

QUOTE(sgpdsmss @ Feb 27 2017, 08:05 AM) Buy new HDMI cable and try ?maybe wire broken when pack in luggage? Arrgh. No time for it. Let me ask the guys in front desk.Or one more possibility is the box faulty ? QUOTE(dwRK @ Feb 27 2017, 09:20 AM) Most hotel TV are special consignment...a lot of the ports don't work one... Sigh. I stayed in Beijing one, no issue some more provided me with HDMI cable.Need to upgrade to suite then maybe... QUOTE(WaCKy-Angel @ Feb 27 2017, 09:48 AM) Not holiday. An update for my case.
Complained to hotel and their IT and maintenance department were quick in solving. After few rounds of troubleshooting and using my cable to try, I also brought my box to my colleague's room, her TV has no issue. So, confirmed it is my own TV issue. At first I thought I will require to change room, who knows the staff were so friendly and helped me to change my TV. Detached the old from one bracket and put in a new one. Internet connection was decent enough to stream my IPTV and Icdrama 720p content. I haven't tried Full HD Quasar yet. I'm so contented. Finally end of my drama. Luckily my cable is good. |

QUOTE(voncrane @ Feb 28 2017, 12:39 AM) Nice of the hotel to go to such extents to please their customers.. Now return the favor and on behalf of the other hoteliers... Do NOT run the Quasar addon or such p2p based connections on a hotel network.. As doing so, will most likely grind the network to a halt for other users.. Regular streaming is okay.. Let's play nice, ya... OK la, listen to you. Will not use P2P. Yes, I'm so surprised of such level of service. My colleagues said the box is like a Godsend now as you know we cannot really get used to India's lifestyle. They said every night will camp in my room to watch shows together. The hotel fellow also asked me if my box works like Apple TV. Actually I will be staying for more than a month that's why they had to fix for me. |

QUOTE(dwRK @ Mar 7 2017, 11:12 AM) No need to sweat too much...only minority may have issues...sooner or later developer need to make compatible with android 6 or get left behind...many alternatives around...all major apps should be working... Yes, my box is not bad. Fruitie has a Docooler 3/32GB for around RM 200 after discounts you may want to check it out... More than enough for my usage. |

QUOTE(budak minyak @ Mar 8 2017, 03:09 PM) Hi guys, I currently have problem with my m8s+ box. I lost the remote, and now i cant turn it on (the color will be blue if i turn it on). I tried every possible way such as using air mouse, but since air mouse is depending on the usb that comes with it, the box cant read it since it is not power on. Can anybody help me? Because I cant find anyone selling extra remote for this model. Try to look for your seller?[attachmentid=8568296] |

QUOTE(budak minyak @ Mar 8 2017, 03:34 PM) thanks but i bought from Lazada long time ago, shipped from oversea. So cant contact the seller. My seller is TOMTOP though I bought from Lazada too.Anybody else have any idea how to solve my problem? No other way because I don't see it selling elsewhere. A point to be noted for myself too, cannot lose it as I bring it to overseas. However, I think I still can contact my seller as he has a website and FB page. |
