Astro has another app called NJOI Now. Maybe that's what you want.

I use WiFi only no issue.

That's why I asked u to download manually.

yup.. got free channel.. still need to register but dont need to link smartcard... ada button to skip linking..

hypptv can straight subscribe, even without unifi subs... but the app is horrible...

Tried AstroGo and HyppTV play (tablet) in Minix U1, both works nicely.
Just wanna check, what app do you all use for BD/BR remux file or even 4k?
I tried mx player and media player in U1, both does not run smoothly.

U bought it recently from beffen too? Did u download both apps from Google Play?

you will be able to find Hypp TV play Tablet and phone version in playstore.
While AstroGo, you will have to sideload APK into U1, i download via Chrome from APKPURE in U1 and install directly with setting change to unknown source enable.

Still thinking what is the good offline player...
As i used to play from laptop Media player classic, i will be able to see the audio stream quality/channels.

Kodi... Easy and smooth playback..even for high bitrate h.265 UHD+HDR files..

Take your time.. It gets easier.

Or just kodi from google playstore?

I find kodi 17.4 beta for minix have issue on playback certain 1080p files.

Stable Minix XBMC V16.3-0
Stable official Kodi V17.6 from Play Store... Files will play.. Just tested with this official version.. Of course HDR isn't supported on the U1 as it lacks the hardware.. Supported on the Neo U9-H.

I'm trying kodi 17.3 for minix now, seems better for playback.
Do not wish to install 2 diff. Version here, maybe use offical kodi if still peoblematic

IMO, xbmc for minix v16.3 is the most stable and is why I left it as is and not upgraded to the Krypton beta.. Just reading that it has too much issues is enough for me to stay away. Plus the official Kodi Krypton works just fine.. So I use both. Minix's mainly for local files playback and Krypton for streaming.

I just roughly summarize most of the specs seems to be the same in 3GB ram, Android 7.1 and CPU Amlogic S912. Just thinking all this brand any different beside pricing? I know that a clean box without preinstall apps seems to be cheaper. Wondering any differences between all this boxes sell online to take notice.

All the Amlogic devices are almost the same but not exactly the same. They may be differences in Wifi chipset, Wifi antenna (embedded, internal, external), ROM version, Netflix Certification, root/non-root, HD audio passthru, etc.

Some seller added a few apps which able to stream some illegal/non-official content from some places and sell a few hundred ringgit more.

So it's a big soup there. Hardware is not the only thing you need to consider.
