The prob is those free apk that you installed on your own they are not as stable like those only available apps on certain box. Eg evopad ubtv.
Those free apps u will need to constantly update/changs to another apps to function well. They might only work for few months...

Or you do like my uncle's brother's kid's friend and find a cheap but solid ehem service that actually has staff and capable servers which are capable of serving out 4K content too. Install their Kodi addon with full EPG and stream away. All done via a capable box he chose himself with proper stable firmware and not just some shoddy hardware + software combo box they chose and slap their brand on it.. Calling it an IPTV/Kodi box..

There are always more than one way to get such. Either you work for it and enjoy how you want it or you pay someone else to do the work and hope he/she does the right work the way you want it. Always up to the consumer to choose which option. However with option 1, you determine your satisfaction levels. Option 2 sees someone else determining for you and you may or may not be missing out on a better device or service.

What I mean is if you consider paying other for those apps that you can install yourself, then u are better off buying those box that come with their livetv vod apps. It is hassle free with 1 off payment and the developer will maintain those apps for u. Unlike those that help u install kodi terrarium, once the apps is down the seller can do nothing for you anymore.

Okay.. I get your point. Mine involves acknowledging that there's is not one single box with 1 time payment that will actually last long. You either pay upfront the equivalent of months subscription in which the money you paid will be up used during those months to maintain the service or you were conned into paying for streams that are stolen and the "maintainer" can decide today to walk away from the app. Say you paid RM500 or more for such. The box they provide is probably worth RM150-RM200 max. The extra money is for this "one off payment". Where can such a business model succeed? What developer wants to be paid only once but work for a lifetime? Hahaha..End up, the service closes and you are stuck with an underperforming box.

Ya that will also happen to those free apps. What is the longest free iptv apps u have used and still working now? Unless u just use it for Netflix or astro on the go or hypptv then it is fine, but if your purpose is just to buy a empty box with the aim of free iptv or even vod... I can guarantee that u will always need to change apps for it to work well.
I just want to point out that who want hassle free, there are more option for them to explore to like the box I mentioned below or even a subscription based iptv.
Those business model succeed or not I dont know, but evpad and ubtv box(my gf dad used this for 1 year+) is already in the market for quite some years already and it is still working now.

Free app that has been working for years? Yes, cloudtv, just to mention one.. VOD? Showbox and Popcorntime.. TLDR, what do I know.. Only been messing with Android boxes for over 7 years..

Again.. You don't see what's in front of you.. I even tossed in a rough calculation to show that ultimately it's still better to buy your own box and DIY exactly as one sees fit and still cheaper than buying shitty boxes. Excuse my language, that's the safest word I can use to describe such. I know a pal who owns an evpad and latest Kodi works horribly on it.. Don't even get me started on HD surround sound passthrough capabilities and pq.. Good illegal IPTV services go for under RM20 per month..means in a year it's RM240. And can get yearly packages from same providers for almost 50% off that.. Yes, that cheap and they are much better maintained than the free ones.. Mine offers hundreds of channels, some 1080p with full accurate EPG and they have dedicated servers and bandwidth to offer up to 4K VOD streams..Just have to know where to look... I'm just a user, not invested or anything and will not (for obvious reasons) reveal it directly. In fact said free ones steal streams from such and provide to others (bless such devs).. But obviously they are unable to sustain it cuz weak servers and bandwidth plus legal complications. For all we know, evpad or ubox also grab streams from these guys and resell. As I mentioned earlier, one off payments devices aren't sustainable, just like MLM schemes.. Sure some can last over a year. But there'll come that time when they inevitably go bust having collected enough or can't handle the heat. So those last in one time payers... Your guess what happens to their money and if they are stuck with a crappy box or not. Eventually, end up here asking for which good box to buy. Why not skip that entire step and get a good box, then pair it with a reliable service.

At less than RM150.. That's cheap. I'm unsure if someone here has already bought it. Feel free to pull the trigger. Then you can give review for others as to its real world performance.. If too bad? Only RM150 lost..

One has 16GB ROM and the other 32GB.. If you plan to install a lot of heavy apps especially games, then better to go for the 32GB storage box. It'll also help if you have say 50Mbps++ fast internet connection to stream 4K files p2p style. Cuz those can typically larger files to stream..

Google it already and read about it.. But i dont know how to identify a good tv box..

Can it run netflix in FullHD and astroGo? Got playstore?

Incase, you haven't noticed, others haven't exactly come out to offer you a direct answer either. Which I actually did. I told you to get the Nvidia Shield TV Box. Which is a GOOD box and can run Netflix at 4K HDR plus surround sound easy. So don't say you were never helped. There are many users here with different boxes that are considered good boxes to them. A good box for me may not be same for another and vice versa. This is a public forum, all info contained therein are available to you as to me. TS did a great job with page one, thread title also tells you to see page one first. Yet, you ignore and want special treatment? .. Has nothing to do with arrogance.. If any, you are the arrogant one for refusing to do what you are supposed to do.. But expecting others to serve you instead.

We were all noobs too once. So do as suggested, go through the page one throughly and say the last 10 or so pages at least. A common theme will emerge. Return when you are less of a noob.

So I bought another box as mentioned last week. It's the Mecool M8S Pro L 3gb/32gb S912 with Android OS that came with the optional voice remote. To those intending the same, get the voice remote, it's worth it!

I must say is a very fast box with a refreshing UI (unlike most boxes that comes with a boring static UI) Installing apps was a breeze and a lot faster compared to the last S912 box or other S905X boxes which I've bought and sold off.

There's plenty of video review available. Some apps I'd need to sideload but didn't encounter any problem

The usual Kodi, Terrarium, FreeFlix all installed smoothly. YouTube and Netflix plays in 4K.

As I just got the box this evening, will try to install other apps and try out.

So far I'm very impressed it and looks like it's gonna be the primary box replacing the Q16 Quad I've had for years.

Wife and kids love it so much especially the solid build voice remote. This box does not have passthru capabilities but it's expected when I decided to buy this.

Nice, especially the Netflix in 4K part.. Please recheck and confirm it's actual 4K and not upscaled 1080p by tv. Cuz I've read earlier that it supports Netflix up to 1080p so far. YouTube is 4K.

Voice remote sounds interesting, is it for voice command? Wonder any wireless keyboard/airmouse that comes with it?

Can you confirm Netflix is in 4K? Easier way to check - you will found 4K title category (mostly is TV series) and those 4K title will mentioned 4K in below title and above the description when you open the TV series. If you can't find any title with 4K description then your TV box is not playback the title in 4K. 4K title will label as HD if the box only up to HD.
