Some TV Box cannot work with AstroGo apps, so is related to root or non-root?

Root definitely will not work.

So either you (1) unroot, in which case you don't have root to perform certain tricks ( such as installing Adaway to remove advertisement), or (2) hide root from AstroGo.

my house dvb-t2 tuner box cracks yesterday , so i plan to buy another new one

so do we have any tv box + dvb-t2 tuner all in one box? so i don't need to buy 2 devices

Was told that it is cheaper to buy separate boxes. Moreover dvb-t2 tuner has the chance of strike by lightning since it is connected to rooftop antena.

Anyone can give some idea why my AOTG 8.1.93 version can't install properly in Nvidia Shield TV which is Android version 7.0? Anyone with other box in Android 7.0 OS install AOTG without issue? I have installed successful once, after exit can never open without crash. Even I clear cache, uninstall and reinstall also doesn't help. I try other 2 previous version of AOTG also the same, please share if you have any idea what's happening.

Power on and everything looks fine.
Later will try download the HyppTv and AOTG to see if it works.

I have tried both the HyppTV and AOTG from Google Play, HyppTV is working fine but for AOTG, i am not able to play the channel. It always prompt me to setup the remote control and link to Astro decoder, no idea how to skip it

Nope, it didn't come with A2 Lite Airmouse

is it necessary to use A2/A3 remote for Minix box?

Where did you download the app from? I got mine from APK Pure, it is OK and works well.
You can factory reset if you want. I did mine because when I first got it, my box cannot load properly after I shut down. After factory reset, all is well until now.

Hmm. I was using it earlier but due to its battery drainage issue, I keep it aside. Now using the IR keyboard which I bought from Lazada, RM 25.
All works well and no longer using A2 Lite. So to answer to your question, it is not necessary.

I download the app from Google Play store. In fact the app now is "My Astro", i can't find "Astro on the Go". I think they just update it
Anyway, i will do a factory reset. If it still does not work, i will download from APK Pure.
Another problem: it seems HyppTV does not support with Ethernet connection? After i change the Wifi to Ethernet , i am unable to play the content. I also tried the "Faked wifi status" in Setting, it still does not work.

I think "My Astro" and "Astro Go" ( previously "Astro On the Go" ) are two different apps.

"My Astro" is an app which works with Astro.

"Astro Go" is a pure IP app, an independent access via internet to view astro programmes.

I've been using the Minix Neo A2 Lite Airmouse from my previous Neo X8-H Plus and now Neo U1. Solid performing remote. I recommend you get it or the updated one, the Neo A3. Gt a couple of high capacity AAA rechargeable batteries and you are good to go.

Told ya, theirs won't ship with the Airmouse included as wasn't part of the description..

Not strange. That's why people ask you to download using other methods.

The app is wired to only appear on devices which only Astro wanted it to appear.

AstroGo needs an Astro ID thats linked with an Astro Account.. its not free.. u need to know someone who has a paid Astro subscription and ask them for access to their Astro account..
