Hi guys,
I'm try to compare S912/S905 with Huawei Hi3798CV200 but cannot get a lot of info to compare.
Any comment about these chipset?
Octa Core vs Quad Core, will be Octa Core will always more better?  hmm.gif

Yes it's nice to rule out devices based on included hardware. But do not overthink it.. Look for real world performance of the device you are interested in and buy based on that.. Plenty rubbish boxes with top hardware but firmware is crap.. or bad wifi or overheats.. or no after-sales service etc..

Does the type of Android Box makes any difference in streaming? In my case, I am using T95Z Plus, 50 Mbps Fiber. Sometimes when I stream UK sports or US news channels, there is lag, buffer or hang for few seconds.

I don't mind upgrading to a better Android Box if it can minimize or eliminate the lagging/buffering/hanging...

For streaming, the best is Video Player (XPlayer). Very smooth streaming experience.

The worst actually is MX Player Pro. Not really smooth streaming and some HW+ support issue on certain channel, for example BBC 2.

Do you have the link for "Video Player (XPlayer)" ?

I want to change my player then.

Thank bro.

Yes.. A better box might help. BUT, first determine if what you are experiencing aren't results of poor home networking or the server. Once you confirm it's not these.. Then sure, get a better box.
50Mbps...good
Wired directly to a decent router...good
No throttling and speed tests to foreign servers consistently show low ms and around 50Mbps +-10%... Good

You get my point..

Hard to tell. You need to isolate the problem first.

Yeah, thanks. Get your point. Everything you mentioned under good, I have it now. So I guess time to upgrade my box. Plan to upgrade to Himedia Q10 Pro. I guess Himedia Q10 Pro should be much better than T95Z Plus!

Himedia Q10 Pro might be better than T95Z Plus in many aspects, but whether it can solve your particular problem or not is hard to tell. If you strategy is to just get a better box, I guess there is no harm. biggrin.gif

Pretty much what puchongite wrote. In addition, if you have another Android device like say a flagship smartphone, install the same app and try streaming the same channels to see if similar results. Nevertheless, if willing to splurge, you won't go wrong with the HiMedia Q10 Pro. smile.gif Plus it'll definitively tell you that it's the service's fault and you can switch to another provider with less buffering.

Seller? You don't need a seller. Buy a box like from Lazada, I am using Minix U1 and it can use Astro Go, which the box once a while it has sales, so just wait for good deals. biggrin.gif

For Astro Go account, just hook to your family/friend's account and enjoy it. I'm using my parents' Astro account and I enjoy it in my own place.
