1MDB defaulted the loan as of this noon which they were supposed to pay. My stock remisier just informed me to be wary for the coming days. So how our economy will be impacted by this? I don't know honestly.

Well could be malaysia credit rating will be lowered. Hence higher cost for gov and companies to finance their debts = lower profit for shareholders.

Also, all those foreign investors which pour money into malaysia early this year will reverse gear tomorrow. Maybe only.

RM will tank further against all other currency (which is already happening) hence cost of living will increase and your purchasing power will drop.

These are some of the of the likely scenario.

Bila market naik, kata nak ditunggu market crash.

Bila market crash, takut pulak masok.

Semua cuma sekadar berpenglipulara aje. Cakap sekadar omong-omong. Nothing concrete, all talk, no action.

Cuma teori aje yang pandai, praktisnya ke mana pergi? Teori pun tak sepandai mana.... teori syiok sendiri aje yang banyak.

Kasi you one super like.
If one believes in buy low sell high, then...
Doom and Gloom are what all budding investors should look for!

Of course, not so nice when you are already at your end game and time to cash out.
But most investors here are young working adults.

You should be concerned that this issue continue to exist and maybe in the future v2.0, 3.0, 4.0 will exist. Ignore all about current timeline.Take a long term look. Why?
1) purchasing power goes down and cost of living goes up
2) you need to work harder for kids education
3) cost of medication and insurance goes up

The above don't apply if you have RM10m sitting in your bank.

Short answer,
IRR error occurred because "the first value of the range was zero".

If you want to know more about it in more detail, can PM idyllrain. It's not my speciality. tongue.gif

Thank you.
My individual UTF code line is like this.  Formula Example : =IFERROR(XIRR(K8:K15,D8:D15),0)
So far, I have figured out the problem.  Apparently, I can't leave any rows without value in the transaction amount.  After trimming rows, I got back my individual IRR.  This wasn't the case previously

However, my portfolio overall IRR is still missing.  Formula : =XIRR($K$2:K67,$D$2:D67)
It shows as "#NUM!"
How may I fix this?

sweat.gif

Edit : The error goes away if I do not include the inactive fund? Can I email my spreadsheet to you for checking?  I am using Mac Excel.

Hi, I am wondering if uh, someone can give me advise on this DIY port. My first time =)

CIMB and KGF are at 24 and 28% allocation. The rest are equal at 12%. Port started in 19/06/17.

My rationale for this port, at the time,
1. Focus on Malaysian region
2. Recommended funds
3. InterPac is a last minute addition but the performance is too admirable.

I would like to know if,
a. Is there too much concentration in Malaysia, going forward?
b. buy in or switch existing to other funds, like Manu India or TA Global Tech
c. How does Asia ex Japan and Asia including Japan differ?

Would appreciate it if you could point me in the right direction. Thanks.

Equities
Cimb Asia Pac Dynamic Income 24%
KGF 28%
Amreits 12%
Inter Pac Dana Safi 12%

Bond
Affin hwang select Bond 12%
RHB EMBF 12%

a. Is there too much concentration in Malaysia, going forward?
you have already mentioned your rational......too much or too little is all personal choices
if for me...yes I think it is too much. I would reduce it....some had gone, and some would go 100% in M'sia too.

b. buy in or switch existing to other funds, like Manu India or TA Global Tech
my choice is YES.......get the allocation from M'sia allocation
include a global fund would be ideal for some people too
if you don't like it....no need too.
when It come to diversification need...it is all personal choice.

Cannot see much if and when the markets are blooming....it is only when at times of corrections....one would be enlightened.

c. How does Asia ex Japan and Asia including Japan differ?
have to see the fund factsheet to see and compare the allocation....

Manulife presenter Edwin Lee is promoting the Manulife Dragon Growth Fund as the fund of choice for China exposure now but there is no graph for it in FSM.

There is a graph in Bloomberg though.

Prefer to see that in FSM so that a few funds can be superimposed together and compared.

Anyone know how to get around it ?

Hi all,
What are the exact benefits of opening a beneficiary account?
The FAQ is not helpful at all.

If one of the account holder passed away, the main/beneficiary account will get all the invesment/money?
