Is there any other charges since the fund fee is 0%?

Checked the website a bit and seems like its for Prepaid Cash upfront account (like fsm) and must have 1 transactions per quarter right?

Anything else?

No need. That's for stock. For UT is really free. No platform fees, no service charge.

There seems to be a myriad of investments to choose from, and I am just bewildered at the options available!
Considering that I am a total no0b, which instruments should I go for? UT/bonds/PRS??

In case this helps:
1) Limited disposable income
2) Medium-to-long term investment
3) No need for liquidity - the investment money is not meant to be dipped
4) Minimum entry investment - and minimum/ no fees for subsequent top-ups
5) No very frequent monitoring of investment performance

There are more bewildered options.....that enables you to customise your investments choices based on your risk appetite but be aware that this will affect your expected return.

With the above, I believe PRS would be a good start, especially if you are between 20-30 years old this year which entitles you another rm1000 one off incentive from the government as long as you have gross contributions of at least rm1000 in a single prs fund before end of 2018.

If you are currently paying taxes, you'll also be saving some bucks in the forms of tax relief.

PRS is the most obvious choice based on your requirements.

But in my experience liquidity is always a problem somewhere along in life n unless u are ultra rich, u probably need to dip into your long term savings to smooth things out. So for me at least, UT is the obvious choice.

If in Malaysia, only PRS.
If you are open to put opinions, then robo advisor in SG would be an excellent choice. Stashaway.

FSM may give you or your wife a call to get know the relationship between depositor and account holder.
or you may just call FSM to clarify it.

PRS is a good choice, since it has RM3k Tax deduction for the next few years, but I wouldn't top-up more than RM3k annually though.
and for leftover disposable income, I would pump it into UT.
