Any previous investor can comment on this?

EPF give interest compound monthly (etc 6%/12). If you vested out $$ from that month (say May 2017), the interest will be less starting that month.

QUOTE(dasecret @ May 8 2017, 10:26 AM)
Well, the challenge is a lot of the corporate bonds that the fund hold might resides in China, HK or other parts of Asia, but are denominated in USD to encourage subscription by foreign investors. Unlike equities, the country allocation may not be immediately visible

Even the financial statements don't list the bonds by country but instead by currency risk and credit risk, so perhaps country allocation is not as important as currency denomination

On an unrelated note, there were some detailed discussion about how the iFast nominee subsidiary works and how iFast segregate client's assets from their own that the FSM rep wrote on Cari Chinese Forum. Pretty informative and rather reassuring although of course things can always go wrong if people decides to go on the dark side

One more question, basically after we sign up the managed portfolio then we pay it, then what we do after that is just wait for their confirmation right? Like 3 to 4 business days (new to FSM)
*
No idea, just wait and see flex.gif
You should be able to view your managed portfolio at "View Holding -> Managed Portfolio"

lol never see someone calculate sales charge and GST as actual gain. one month 0.44% is nothing to shout about
*
well...Depends on how you look at it. smile.gif
The fact is still the funds in managed portfolio did gain total of 1.75% smile.gif

I am not bitching about i gain 1.75%... whistling.gif

There is something wrong with this maths.

Gross gain is gross gain. Actual net gain has to MINUS the sales charge and GST instead of PLUS !

Try to rub shoe also pick something more sensible !

QUOTE(aoisky @ Jul 1 2017, 10:29 AM)
rclxub.gif mr. funnyface your actual / nett gain should - (sc + gst) instead of add in to it.

looking into your aggressive  portfolio just merely small gain, think back i was right not to opt for manage portfolio.

anyway thanks for the sharing.
*

doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif

I am not looking at my/investor perspective, rather to show the performance of the Funds selected by Managed Portfolio.

Of course from my/investor perspective, the gain is only 0.44%. wink.gif

maybe i should put

"My" gain = 0.44%

"funds" gain = 1.75%

Okay I understood what you are saying now. The confusion comes from the word "gross gain". You should say that as the net gain, whereas the fund gain is the gross gain. Anyway peace, just a terminology problem.

Yes UT talking about 3 year or more.

but even my lousiest pick of fund just few K investment garner more than 1%.

comparing own managed vs the manage port from fsm (referring funnyface's) its aggressive port some more, of course short period 1 month only let see for longer period of time.

I will update the result from time to time in here nod.gif
