Just waiting for benchmark of 6800xt vs 6900xt vs 3080 and 3090

If the amd smart access shows significant win over nvidia I may be swayed to team red.
If cyberpunk benchmark shows it needs 10GB vram for ultrawide 1440p, i may go 3090/6900xt as I really hate the 10GB 3080 which isn't future proof at one bit and I dont upgrade gpu every gen

I am also curious and interested to know how this 4 stick memory works.

Example using a x570 motherboard with 4 RAM slots but dual channel (most mobos are) kits.

Would putting a 4x dual channel Samsung B Die worth it?

Afaik when when we manuel overclock Zen 2 or 3. We can get high all core clock, but at the cost of the max boost clock.
Say with 5900x, for us with air/aio cooling (not liquid nitrogen) might reach some where between 4.3 Ghz and 4.5 Ghz all core clock at manuel OC. But at the cost of max boost clock, which results in good performance during multicore load, but loosing performance in gaming cause we are not boosting to the height boost clock we will get with stock/PBO setings.

Asus dynamic OC switcher let me set up two profiles in bios for cpu and memory settings. One for cpu running stock or with PBO on and one for a manual oc or manual all core AVX offset depending on workload, and set a given ampere like 45 Ampere load (derbauer video) to trigger seconds bios profile with my manual all core settings in bios and now I have a CPU that runs at stock or PBO settings by default and boost to max core clocks during gaming for max gaming performance?

It will be a few months from now before other boards like msi and gigabyte finds out how asus did this. Which is also reason i dont wait and just pay ROG tax for this feature now

Well if we strictly talk about ts usage 5600x

Any motherboard costing 1k and not more than 1.1k is more than adequate if we talk quality vrm and features wise.

It caters certain niche of gamers looking to clock the shit out of 5950x and 5900x with way overboard VRM. Quality. Features. ROG fans. Aura sync for asus products.

If building top high end rig and can afford no reason to cut down to say... Msi gaming pro wifi or... Asus tuf plus.


Otherwise standard gaming and biasa rig 1080p or low end 1440p non ultrawide msi tomahawk and tuf pro is way more than enough

This cpu and mobo combo is a poor choice. If u got money for dark hero u shouldnt touch 5600 unless its stop gap but why stop gap last gen am4.

Team red just lost me forever. I really really wanted to use 5900x. By fate and Gods will the stock never arrived even tho paid since Nov. I have always went the Intel route bar once athlon xp smtg as my dad works in Intel

With this paper launch and numbers and I game on ultrawide I refuse to wait more than I already have since before covid.
