QUOTE(khuanoz @ Mar 6 2017, 03:31 PM) Just asking out of curiosity, you are not obligated to reply, but I'm wondering if your 800k is just a small part of your basket of investment vehicles that you manage to distribute risks OR it's the only one? If that FD amount is really really big.. why not ? But of course, you are not trying to get rich, because already rich..There's a saying that you cant get rich by merely putting all your eggs in FD so what do the sifus here think? Thank you 5m x 4% = 200k p.a Not bad lor This post has been edited by Bonescythe: Mar 6 2017, 11:22 PM |

QUOTE(starry @ Mar 6 2017, 11:34 AM) I am not sure. But I would think it is required as all manner of withdrawals of FD ( cash, Rentas, banker's cheque)has to be routed via CASA . That's what the teller tells me when I complain about the extra steps she's taking .QUOTE(godhand @ Mar 6 2017, 11:35 AM) CIMB promos usually not advertised. Just go ask the branch manager .QUOTE(David3700 @ Mar 6 2017, 08:45 PM) CIMB Desa Parkcity Branch manager only offer me 3.95% pa for 12 months FD. OT a little bit since I saw some interesting definition of PB.
In most cases here: PB refers to Priority/Premier/Privilege/Preferred Banking. For different banks, the requirement is from 200k to 500k (UOB). Private banking requirement is onwards of 1 million, or rather 3 million. Most banks you can use CASA or FD to meet the requirement. Some include loan amount as well. From time to time, banks have FD promo for PB customers only. This post has been edited by bbgoat: Mar 7 2017, 11:59 AM |

Not the only investment, but majority on FD. Since i have no guts to go for higher risk investment. Hi,
I have a question there is a investment plan from insurance co. i.e. invest 3600.00 per year for 10 years, and returns is 17% (612.00). This is guaranteed for 10 years. the next 10 years, return is 33% (1188.00) per year. End of 20th year the investment of 36000.00 returned. Q: is this better than FD investment or I am missing something here? Advice is appreciated. Thanks |

" the next 10 years, return is 33% (1188.00) per year."
Where got? The principal u put in already 36k! What's 1188/36000 as a percentage? Less than 4% only. Do the same for 1st 10yrs...ie principal increasing every year but return fixed at 620. By 10th yr, return less than 2% |
