Butthead,

Awesome photos from the nite ride with Astana Team. The SL4 is so tempting. A friend is already using that frame. Woosh. Thinking of it but probably can just afford a SL3, the Astana version, damn nice.

for RM10k... i think you can get a standard specialized Tarmac SL4 frame alone... or is it the S-Works Tarmac SL4 frame... can't recall...

I actually saw a folding bike equipped with drop bars last week

There is one famous folding bike brand with drop bars, it's called Bike Friday. The owner of Bike Friday used to race on folding bikes... long time ago la..

i only get to ride on weekends.. and sometimes i don't if i have to work...

it will be a bonus if i can ride on one of the weekday nights (early)...

Added on February 22, 2012, 5:55 pmAlligator i-Link cables...

since pinkbike don't want to entertain me.. i saw on ebay for under RM140.. + RM20 for shipping...

worth considering since my sram professional set seems a bit lousy after a while or it was wrongly installed...

pair it with alligator i-link housings...

How does this compared to Jagwire?

jagwires are compression-less housings only...compression-less housings are made to last longer... especially on brakes.. you don't feel that your brake lever become spongier as time goes by...

nokon, alligator, gore ride on systems are considered fully sealed systems.. they have a liner that runs within the housing all the way to the derailleurs so no contaminants can enter and corrode or degrade shifting performance...

on top of that.. they are compression-less too..

jagwire also had some sealed systems but they made it only for MTB and i think they are not that well sealed...

Added on February 22, 2012, 6:16 pmhere is how jagwire's ripcord system looks like... they used nosed end caps and liners only in between the frame cable stops...

http://www.competitivecyclist.com/review-c...ur-kit_735.html

most fully sealed systems uses the liners even before it reaches the cable stops hence a fully sealed system...

Added on February 22, 2012, 6:23 pmwe are too educated on jagwires because that is pretty much the only ones available in malaysia.. and no one wants to pay RM400 for a set of cables and housings..

SRAM Red group actually provides a set of gore ride on professional shield derailleur cables..

people who have used them before will appreciate them...

then comes the inner wires... some has teflon, PTFE, some funky monkey coatings.... but they all wear out soon... i ordered a bottle of Rock n Rolll Cable Magic off the net to try it out... heard it is quite a nice cable lube... but pricey for jus a small bottle...
