Mind telling more abt the knee protector? Does it have for elbow or collarbone area?
*
if you're referring to those for when your wounds are healing, try visiting any local pharmacy to ask about it.

QUOTE(minizian @ Feb 21 2012, 07:55 PM)
Okay my wound is better day by day. Manage to go out and have makan with my gang. Can walk slowly but still cant run. I wondered how long my woun will heal  sad.gif
The below is pic of my injuries 4 days after the accident. It kinda bloody on teh day of accident and I have no mood to take the pic at that time. Today it looks way better than this. Put into spoiler mode just so that i don spoil ppl mood  doh.gif U can see how skinny am I lor at 50kg/49kg. There are some aussie chick who are wayy skinnier than me and it doesnt look good  doh.gif
My knee area, this make me wanna buy a knee protector just to be safe & i rather being laughed at other rider cause they are not going to pay my hospital bill which is a bomb in Australia.

My face also kena as in long streak over my lips and a ding mark on my right cheek. I so worried my face will get deformed and I will lose my good looks. Thankfully now it is healed and most ppl wont see any noticeable marks there unless u see VERY closely. I was thankful i was wearing sunglasses during the crash as the frame was scratched badly and the lens were scratched too. Cant imagine I got into the crash without it  sad.gif  Thankfully no broken bone or teeth  unsure.gif

After the crash i had to take public bus to nearest clinic to do dressing on my wound while the wound bleeding out  ohmy.gif t
oh btw. keeping wounds moist helps with the healing, contrary to the view about drying them out. notice that any small cuts or wounds that you get in the drier climate in Australia tends to heal slower?

Yep, saw Guardian Pharmacy in Malaysia are selling the knee and elbow guards... I think is to protect muscle/joint during exercise/movement and lessen aches after... better go pharmacy and have a look...

I think that depends on the thickness of the guards.. like your glove which suppose to protect your hands, end up not that effective... Too thick and your movements are restricted... too thin and less effective... hmm.gif

BTW the brand I saw in pharmacy is Ebene:

don't think the types at the pharmacies are meant to be crash guards. but for the thinner ones, you should be able to wear them under the normal biking crash guards

yes bro, cycling is a good hobby..i also picked up cycling recently and so far only clocked less than 200km on my bike..the only thing that will or may degrade your new cycling spirit upon purchasing your bike is the dreaded saddle sore (pain on your pelvis bone) sweat.gif

and cycling stuffs aren't cheap if you are into upgrades, especially with the entry level bike having low end components or gears...but if you just wanna ride for fun, then any bike will do..folding bike is kinda cute too rclxms.gif

another brand should you want to consider is merida..there is one around rm2k plus range if i'm not mistaken..the merida road lite series..

was thinking of something different actually. not those types for muscle relaxation, but something thinner than can be used to cover the wounds so those areas wont be exposed to the dirt and dust on the road

haha butthead..thx for those youtube videos..damn they sounded like a machine..feels a bit 'garang' when you suddenly approaching another cyclist on his rear wheels.

but yeah a bit troubling when you want to enjoy the peaceful scenery..but i admit I like the sound..could it be coming only from an expensive wheels?
*
most wheels sounds to my standard noisy this days.. whether it is sub RM1k or some expensive wheels from DT, Mavic, Fulcrum, Zipp, Corima, Reynolds, FFWD, custom built CK, tune, alchemy, extralite hubs.... all have loud ratcheting sounds... how loud depends on what you buy...
