If I only have a budget around 1k, the best thing is just go find a bike with the colour u like and buy them? since they don't really matter?

QUOTE(Eokboy @ Dec 12 2011, 06:35 PM) Sup guise! Coming to the USA turned me into a roadie. Just got a new bike: 2011 Cannondale CAAD10-5, imho the best aluminum frame one can buy. Total weight: 8.39kg. I saw this bike in 2XU shop in Gardens earlier, I think it's the same bike as yours![]() But I still have my old 2006 Giant OCR 3 ![]() Can't wait to ride in Malaysia. Added on December 12, 2011, 6:49 pm You're probably best on a 56cm. I'm 5'7 and I ride 52cm. |

QUOTE(littlebeettle @ Dec 13 2011, 09:09 AM) Hi Sky, I am aiming to get one secondhand bike due to my budget constrain. therefore walking in a bike store without buying might not be a good idea?Your height would probably requires size 56 or above. I would recommend you to visit Specialized Store in Kota D'sara for body fitting. Exchanging ideas there will lead you understand more on bikes that you looking for. Now I find it difficult to buy a secondhand bike cause it's difficult to source a frame which is exactly suitable for you |

QUOTE(calmshot @ Dec 15 2011, 02:53 PM) im not a roadie, but i do also recommend polygon for sub 2k budget, or maybe you can look for exitway ergo logic (not ergo team). or maybe can look for good second hand roadbike here http://www.bicyclebuysell.com/#page=1&cat=...cipline%5B%5D=2 . just my 2 cents I read about on the net that is better just go for the entry bike you can afford, buy it for a shop that can do fitting for you and have a good service record. Since you don't know what you want you will upgrade it to your liking eventually later on. So I guess A shop shud be better choice for me rightJust want to share my current track/mash bike setup.. still looking for good rear wheelset, looking for mavic ellipse or miche pistard but the problem is i have to buy in pair front/rear, i just want the rear set so if anyone here want the front wheelset (ellipse or pistard) do letme know. [attachmentid=2587094] [attachmentid=2587096] anybody here join the putrajaya bike ride this saturday? |

I am interested to get a bike at 2k budget because I still don't know what to get next. 4k is a steep price to pay for a person which knows nothing in the biking world. Sometimes is easy to say you cant go wrong with this and that but sometimes it's just really not for you.
Can anyone listed down a shop or two for good bike? Google search brings me to KSHbike, bikepro. |

QUOTE(H2D @ Dec 28 2011, 10:52 PM) those 2 shops are more upmarket.... I shud be expecting price around 2k right? if I were to aim Polygon 200 / 300.. actually those spec means nothing to me haha.. cannot translate them into meaningful data in my brainif u r looking for budget bike sub 2k or 1k, go to the lerun website, they have a list of bike shops all over malaysia. Added on December 28, 2011, 10:58 pm for beginner, if u don't mind traveling to putrajaya, u can try the putrajaya interpark ride, it is like a community ride, for everyone, just need a helmet, light for night riding... cukup,,, ![]() |

QUOTE(H2D @ Dec 29 2011, 04:18 AM) around 2k can hv a few choices, the built quality n parts will be different of course, u can see it with your eyes, I din travelled to PJ, i just realised there's handful of bicycle shop near my area, never realise they are there.just walk into a bike shop and compare. the shifters will be different, when u ride u can feel the difference when it works. Polygon Helios 300 is out of stock everywhere, I got a quote RM2050 which is quite good I think. Lerun will not be able to stock until after CNY which is damn freaking far.. Walked into a shop which sell Merida Bikes the shopkeeper try to ask me buy mtb instead lol headache now.. do i really have to wait that long? the Helios 300 seems to be the best option at that price range, the shop people also recommend another bike with immediate stock available, Chronos, with Shimano Sora but only RM50 cheaper, it's a China Brand |
