I saw one giant defy with just Sora groupset (triple) at the front of a certain GYK Giant Shop here in Ipoh.

Guess what the price tag attached to the bike...

3599 with the wording 'sale' written as well...

I was like dropping my eyeballs...
*
maybe the ipoh shops think it is easier to chop ipoh fellas.... or they dunno there is this thing called the internet and google...

QUOTE(dinraxxx @ Feb 10 2012, 03:29 AM)
Add RM 400 and get Polygon Helios 500.With 105 some more. That's worth a buy.
*
the helios 500 is no longer in the range for 2012... maybe lucky can get 2011 models if still stocked up...

it now jumps from the alloy 400 to the tiagra equipped carbon 600... if the price of the Helios 600 stays the same as a 105 Helios 500... then it is worth the think since Tiagra is already 10s...

i think he actually owns a bike shop or something...

I'm just saying. But seriously. If you"Don't mind about spending your money to start on pro" get that.Or either this. This is the one I'm selling right now.
more confirmation that he owns a bike biz...

the scared part doesn't come prior... the scared part usually comes after when you are waist deep in quick sand... then you'll go WTH!!!

unless you have a real terrible saddle... the only think is that i think you need some time to get used to being in the saddle since if i did not interpret wrong that you said you still have pains even after you rested?

usually we have a chair to fully support our bum but on the bike we rely on our seat bones on a saddle that is no wider than our bum.. and we will be going through the full motions of our hips when pedaling...

give it some time or you have a real bony ass... not to say that saddle or padded short will totally cure the problem... but it should help relief it somewhat...

thats what the seller told me since i felt the pain after like riding for 1 minute or so, so i thought, yea maybe.

but the more i cycle, the more i felt it's pain, haha. so after cycle like 12km ++ i actually need to step down from the bike and walk for few seconds before i ride again =.='

hm...when i touch the saddle, it seems quite soft, but maybe the design problem?

and yea, i ride last nite, and until now, i still felt some pain when seating, and when i touch it shocking.gif

i don't think my ass is bony ass though ,haha

i posted a couple post or page before this... soft saddle on the contrary doesn't mean a comfortable saddle... it lets your seat bones dig into the soft padding and eventually hit the saddle shell which is hard (just a theory of mine)..

on biomechanics point of view... it seems to say that soft saddles actually wears you down (tired) faster...

i can't comment much on your condition since it sounds a bit too extreme that less than an hour or so in the saddle can cause so much pain... you can try and hop onto a friends bike when you have recovered and see if it happens on another bike / saddle?

Found out a bit more on EMC bikes from Australia through their website.
Specs for the Etape 2.2 is quite good for bike in this price range, 105 groupset, carbon forks, and nice colors, even got ladies version. Can get this locally through TSBike and BBS.

I always wish that my saddle is a little behind... and when I use the drop bar, I realise I am not getting really low... like those racer would do... I am starting to be able to use the drop bar now although gear shift still a little far reach from my finger..
