QUOTE(malleus @ Jan 3 2012, 10:10 AM) I have 2 sets of tires for my MTB, the original Bontrager 26x2.2 which I use for off road, and Maxxis Detonator 26x1.5 for road use. Thanks bro for feedback .. 1.95?1.5 is pretty ok. You'll need to get both the tires and the tubes. I remembered paying around 150-170 (can't remember the exact amount) for mine (2x tires and tubes) Check the valve too. You'll want to get the same valve type that your Kenda tube uses for your road tire tubes as well. This post has been edited by noprob: Jan 3 2012, 10:26 PM |

QUOTE(malleus @ Jan 4 2012, 02:14 AM) If you're wanting to get road slick tires, then you're likely to be wanting something lighter and faster that you can use on the road. So might as well get something slimmer like the 1.5. 1.95 is still kinda big. Okey , will note that bro ..I don't notice any difference in difficulties in handling when I first used the 1.5, but its noticeably lighter than the 2.2 knobby tires. |

QUOTE(malleus @ Jan 4 2012, 09:44 AM) I just stick my bike next to my door Yeah, seen the 1.25 used on a MTB rim. But even on the 1.5, I've already need to swap the tubes. Not too sure about the fit of the 1.1 though QUOTE(butthead @ Jan 4 2012, 09:53 AM) lets jus hope your family ain't those door kicking type or your bike will get door banged all the time... dinged up frame and stuff... what abt 1.95 size guys ? different tube w my current one (Kenda Small Block Eight, 26 x 2.1 )i do remember 1.1 will require a narrower rim if you are capable of running 2.5s.. if memory serves me well which it doesn't most often. 1.75 and 1.5 are the same tube and 1.25 will be a totally different tube... |

QUOTE(butthead @ Jan 4 2012, 03:21 PM) most of the time 1.9 shares the same tube as 2.1. Thank .. that clear thing up but best to check what is said on the box before you buy... as an example you can see here.. http://www.kendausa.com/en/home/bicycle/bi...ycle-tubes.aspx they will write like 26x1.9/2.125 for both 1.9 and 2.1. QUOTE(malleus @ Jan 4 2012, 08:06 PM) just thinking something in between .. Anyway .. today one shop offer maxxis 1.5 size + tube + installation for Rm178 |

QUOTE(butthead @ Jan 5 2012, 05:00 PM) no pictures of naked bikes allowed... all must be covered with a bike cover. well initially thinking of replacing the tire , so might as well look for better wheelset .. but looking at price , kiv firstla why lightweight wheelset on mountain bike... tak tahan lasak rite? stans ZTR paired to CK or I9 hubs laced with DT white spokes... for the lack of pictures.... » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |

QUOTE(butthead @ Jan 7 2012, 02:21 PM) if rim brakes, the noise can be reduced by toeing in the brake pad by a bit. okey comment noted , thanks guys other wise check for oil on the rotor or rim and pads or signs of wear and warpped rotor am using tektro draco hydraulic brake btw went for checking today , they say rotor is okey one, its normal for the sound otherwise hv to opted for brake pad change |

Guys , will carbon type handlebar , stem and seatpost contribute significant weight reduction compare to stock parts ? |
