you mean rating? His rating was 4.7.
Kept all the screen capture of his phone number, car, plate, photo, etc.
Tried calling him to find out what really happen but he end my call after few rings, not once but 5x!
Send him a message but never bothered to respond...
Tempted to reveal his details so that anyone assigned this driver may cancel immediately & not waste time waiting...

I straightaway lodge complain to Uber. But I wasn't charged la, just wanted Uber to know about him and save other riders the hassle

As to other drivers here, mind explaining why accept request and then don't pickup? hmm.gif

This is Grab or Uber?

This is Grab. The CS wouldn't want to reveal the ban reason so I can only assume cancellations was the cause.

Their CS would normally respond in a few hours but this appeal thing, nothing!

One Uber driver told me that he has been more careful on what to talk or say with her riders. At times is better not to talk if you feel or see that the rider is moody or having a bad hair day or else you may get reported. Uber listen to riders complaints not driver. Some riders are very sensitive. Would be great if some of you could share on this. Especially on when to talk or when not to talk. After you try having once or the most twice in getting a conversation but no reply from riders, is best to keep quiet.

Nope. 1 banned driver can easily be replaced by 10. Everyday hundreds of people signing as a Uber driver.

It's been 3 weeks of driving Uber and I've met many people. The worst thing that is always happen to me is when riders pinpointed their locations inside a buiding instead of the entrances. This got me in trouble whenever it's a new location to me.

Yes, agreed.

Perhaps, before you start driving to the location, SMS/call the rider and ask where to wait for him/her. Ask them, should you wait at the entrance or lobby or guard house or etc. If there ask you to come inside the apartment, ask them for the unit number...

This is what I always do. Maybe it will work you too... smile.gif

No direct answer. To many variables because surge or high demand can happen at any time and/or any location. So, you have to check both apps at the same time to determine which is cheaper.

For short trip, fare below RM5, please use Grab. That's all my advice.
Reason:
For Uber, driver will feel cheated. Example, drive to pick up 5km but destination heading only 1km.
For Grab, driver will know the fare, will see the destination. Only willing driver will accept. And yes, during peak hour incentive, high % chance a incentive driver will accept such job. Even during off peak hour, fare driver will accept because at the end of the day, Grab is generous to top up the fare to RM6 to the driver.

For long distance trip, just open up both apps and check. Both apps the same, the fare will be affected by supply and demand.

I once booked a Uber from Sunway Pyramid and the driver called me upon confirmation to ask me where am I going. I told him my destination and he told me he only go to airport, asked me to cancel the booking. I wasn't expecting taxi attitude and needless to say I'm mad as hell, I scolded him right away and he just keep insisting me to cancel it. Made a report to uber afterward and only got a reply that they will investigate it and when I insisted them to update me with follow up they didn't reply me. Shame on them if no action was taken

Was Uber rider yesterday at Mid Valley

4:20PM : Book ride from north court to home.
Made sure location of pickup is Toast Box & waited exactly there...
Assigned a driver by app saying 10min away at OKR despite
app show many driver nearby...
4:30PM : check app, car still at OKR not moving.
4:50PM : Driver never showed up, called him 5x he end call deliberately.
4:55PM : I Cancelled the trip & was slapped with RM5 fine for next ride.
4:55PM : Booked another ride from north court to home.
Assigned a driver by app saying 10min away at Bangsar despite
app show many driver nearby...
5:10PM : Saw his car passing on main road but did not stop.
Suddenly app gave me RM1 receipt. Tried to call driver to ask but contact disappear.
5:20PM : Still at Mid Valley after 1 hour trying to go home 15min away.
Time already peak hour & will take longer to reach home...haih

How do i spot such irresponsible drivers?
I don't dare to use Uber anymore becoz of this... 2 drivers FFK same day...haih

The apps showing many drivers is a trick used by all the ride sharing services, they are not real. Don't believe what the apps shows you. All bluff.

Pickup lady mypren from Cyber to Puchong, otw the other side of the road got roadblock, she became scared AF and ask me to use other road, after drop her off immediately got another ping nearby, another mypren.

Picked him up from KFC nearby, he ask me he's not going to his intended destination as input in the app (Subang), but he said he's gonna go Sri Kembangan, then he ask me to stop somewhere, wanna buy something he said, then after I drop him, saw him meeting some guy discussing something, very dodgy, got scared if its some kind of drug trade or something, locked the car and immediately left the place, hit drop off and called GRAB CS to inform this situation

Already made complaint & received apology from them but not sure what action has been taken on them.
Don't want them to take others "for a ride"...

yes, u can sit anywhere except the driver's lap. tongue.gif

anyway, jokes aside, drivers prefer riders sit at the front... it's less "hostile".
