recently, the safety issue has risen in my home garden area.
Yesterday got break in in my neighborhood.
I am planning to install CCTV but didnt want to call vendor to install as it will cost a few thousand.

I plan to buy those wireless connection to wifi and install myself...

Is it difficult to install myself at car porch?

If the place u plan to install wireless camera got power socket/power source, just plug and play only, very easy.

Depends on what system, either analog/coax system like TVI, CVI, AHD or IP System.
Usually IP System is more expensive.
It is good for you if u can get the detail quotation from the seller.

I wonder how the 5Mp quality compare to your 4Mp. Will test it out when free.

5MP is Analog
IP cam comes in 2, 4 and 8MP

The advantage for IP cam is the VCA itself

For that 5MP Cam, if u set it to max reso 5MP, the frame rate is 15fps.
For 4MP Cam, if set to max reso 4MP, frame rate is 20fps,
so for the same series 2MP Cam, frame rate is 25fps.

Hi guys,
I'm surveying for CCTV, I saw plenty of comparison on Google for Analog vs. IP, both got pros and cons. What is still the suggested method?
Thanks!

The only cons that I can think of for IP Camera is the pricing. So if you can afford the little bit extra, IP is the way to go. With POE so much neater no need separate cabling for power.

The cost for pulling cables and add new power point for my cctv setup is about RM3k. Not sure about analog cctv wiring.

I thought you are using POE? New power point for what? And you are lucky didn't go for 5Mp, it sucks. But too tired to compare the 4Mp side by side.

My budget hopefully around 2k without wiring coz wiring will be done by wireman during reno, conceal under plaster ceiling.

I worry analog will be phasing out in few years, and need multiple cables for 1 cam.
