Wired or Wireless?

Wired camera = HD analog camera or wired type network IP camera.
Wireless camera = Most likely network IP camera.
To simplify the question, let’s assume it’s wired HD analog camera vs wireless IP camera.

HD-CVI, HD-TVI or AHD?

If you’ve finally decided to go for HD analog cameras, but there are so many varieties in the market. Even I mentioned that there are 3 mainstream HD analog technologies in the industry, namely HD-CVI, HD-TVI and AHD. Know your technologies, then decide on your own which one you should bank your investment in.

It is better for you to get the detail specifications of the CCTV system from your alarm guy.
You can refer to the topic starter's well covered 1st post for CCTV to understand the things you have to be aware of.

The list for CCTV only state what model is the recorder and the camera, not even mentioned the brand.
Detail specification like at what framerate and resolution the video recorder can record, what is the field of view and the minimum illumination of the camera, and etc.

Below is the detail specification of recorder and camera from Hikvision, for your reference, I hope you can read Chinese.

Camera: http://www1.hikvision.com/cn/prgs_750_i5944.html

Also, request your alarm guy to give you surveillance hard disk.
I am not aware of Toshiba has Surveillance hard disk, refer to 1st post on Surveillance Hard disk.

If you're going for Paradox alarm system, it will be around RM2800 - RM3000. That's considered quite a good price for total of 25 points. Anyway, well... Paradox brand itself is already among the higher end already. Many here can vouch for paradox, a lot have installed and the reliability is there.

I'm not so familiar with dtec alarm though...

Camera as alexander says it's HikVision, brand wise it's ok, resolution wise 1.3mp also it's ok, try ask for surveillance HDD, as far as I am concerned Toshiba does not produce Surveillance HDD. In fact, Toshiba is among the cheaper HDD available in the market.

Other than that, price is ok. Remember to ask him hardware warranty how long, and also service warranty how long.

No comment on alarm system as I am not familiar.

CCTV Camera: DS-2CE16C0T-IR
http://overseas.hikvision.com/en/Products_..._176_i5681.html
This one is a 1.0 MP camera, different than what is being written on the paper that you posted earlier.
Can select 3 types of viewing angles or lens, if you want the camera to capture widest angle, then choose 2.8mm lens.
The camera able to provide 720P resolution @ 25fps (real time)

CCTV Recorder: DS-7204HQHI-F1/N
http://www.hikvision.com/EN/Products_acces..._364_i5791.html
Should be the 7204 model since it is written on the paper and have 4 cameras.
This recorder able to record video at 720P resolution @ 25fps (real time), so it looks alright.

Hard disk wise, try to ask them to provide you surveillance hard disk like Western Digital Purple or Seagate Surveillance hard disk.

I am not sure what requirements you want for a CCTV system and also how you want to use it for, so I can't comment further.

If you are happy with the camera resolution and it fits your budget, then this CCTV system is alright for you.

For the hard disk, surveillance hard disk are designed specially for CCTV use, as the hard disk will be written with data 24/7 most of the time, and designed to withstand high shock resistance. Normal hard disk are not designed for such 24/7 data writing usage, although you can still use normal hard disk on CCTV system with no harm, just that normal hard disk might not able to last as long as surveillance type hard disk.

For remote control and view, I think the Hikvision recorder is able to achieve this, but you need to set it up or ask someone with the knowledge to set it up for you.
You might need these things:
1. Network cable connect to your router with internet connection.
2. Configure your router to port forward those ports for remote control and viewing.
3. Have a DDNS (Dynamic DNS) account to tackle random IP assignment problem from your ISP, make sure your router has support on the DDNS service that you have chosen.
4. Configure the DDNS account on your router and make sure it works.
5. If your ISP gave you private IP address, you must request for public IP address, or else you won't be able to do access your CCTV from outside.
6. Get the Hikvision mobile app from Google Play Store or Apple App Store, the name is "iVMS 4500".
7. Configure the app and point to the DDNS account you have registered.

Yes, paper wrote 1.3MP but the camera looks like it is a 1.0MP one, but it will work fine still.
