Hi,
was wondering is there any possibility way to remotely reboot my net embedded Cynics Decorder? I noticed after while, i cant view my cctv remotely, so i reboot it manually and then it can immediately be seen.

Most of the cynics model don't have schedule reboot function.
Alternative way is Add a Smart Plug like TPlink Tapo P100, schedule Off/On Power, or remote it to restart power.

I went overseas and changed my sim to local sim. Was able to view Hik CCTV, Tapo CCTV and control Blugard alarm using their respective apps. However, all connection is lost on the 6th day. I sent someone to my house to check and confirm there is electricty and wifi, all CCTV and alarm working as normal. I changed back to Malaysia sim upon return and still could not connect to the apps. Only when I arrived home and connect to house wifi, they are back to normal.

Anyone can explained what happened? Is it there is a cut off days that I need to connect to house wifi else everything become disabled?

How do I share my Tapo CCTV access to another user so that she is able to have equal control as I am? Current share function only allow minimal task, the shared user is not able to enter/exit privacy mode.

Is it possible to use my login details on another phone? I tried this but it keeps saying username/pwd is incorrect. Anyone able to share login details on 2 phones? Thanks

Hi,

Wanna ask about this issue. The upper part of my CCTV feed is distorted as per the picture below. The distortion is moving/flicking when viewing. May I know most likely is this due to the cabling or the camera issue?

And the weird this is, when checking back the recordings, this distortion only happens during day time. The video was stable in the night time recordings hmm.gif hmm.gif hmm.gif

Thanks

Hi sifu-sifu sekalian

I would like to ask for some recommendations for CCTV solutions for my house which is currently empty, but forgot to include planning for concealed cabling during renovation previously

Therefore I am looking for options that can have wireless cameras but local recording to an NVR (not recording to microSD within the camera like TP-Link TAPO cameras, due to concern that records may be lost if thief steals the camera itself)

are there any viable options locally? I've seen on taobao that there are dahua NVRs that can record from wireless cameras (DH-NVR1108HS-W-HDS2).
Will buying these NVRs and/or wireless cameras from China work in Malaysia considering our electricity supply is different

Can link WIFI camera to a recorder, but ur WIFI must be very strong and stable.
U still need power socket/point for WIFI camera, still do-able?
Really no way to pull CCTV cable?

wifi coverage so far is still ok. so far the contractor quoted me surface cabling, so there will be a casing visible, if possible i want to minimize that

may I know why for wired solutions you are recommending the POE systems ?

what's the advantage over analog solutions?

is it because less cabling is required and poe systems support higher resolutions and fancier functions ?
