The last picture, is the lighting provided by your house lights? or that's the totally dark scene but the camera night mode are able to take this picture without much light source?
*
the last picture should be the camera night mode. This house is under renovation. Nothing inside including lights. Empty house with cctv lol

You can see the camera IR reflected on the back wall & on the left could be his neighbour's back lights or street lamp. I don't know if this HIK model can be configure as 5MP or is strictly 4MP. If 4MP it is not using Sony CMOS so you will notice a bit of noise during low lights.

Got video comparisons to share? 2 & 4Mp.
*
Was reading the other day some UK based site. It seems they prefer 2mp compared to 4mp due to lower noise rate & better sharpness. And also eats up lesser hdd space.

Can't locate the website again. Anyone has experience using both 2mp & 4mp? Please share your thoughts.

I will install it this sunday. Will update later. If everything goes well for this house I'm planning for next project which will have 24 camera.

Currently got contractor for pulling cable and conduit for about rm90 each point. So just left to plug n play the cctv

Actually 4Mp sucks. It normally use OV4689 sensor size 1/3 & looses out to Sony CMOS during low light.

what type of power supply u are using?
How many Amp?
*
it's 20 Amp

I contacted the seller and he said the fan is not supposed to spin this loud.

So he recommended one no brand Power supply for RM75 (also 20 AMP) and another branded - Meanwell for RM290 (seller writes it as 29 Ah so I reckon it's 29 AMP)

I reckon get the Meanwell to solve the problem once and for all? Coz it's really loud and warm cry.gif

I'm not sure whether it comes with battery. Will find out later today. Seller did indicate to me 29Ah and picture shown it's the same small rectangular metal square box kind.

I have a feeling it's this one right here

Meanwell tongue.gif can you share me the link for this RM280 set. I will still prefer to get one from local store but still good as a reference.

So ideally, a good one should come with battery, enclosure box and short-circuit protection?
