RE003 are decent tires on the dry.. wet is so so. you may be better off looking for an all rounder like ps4, yokohama fleva and etc. im on fleva and the traction on wet road is pretty impressive. However do note that the tires are not the quiet type and are directional. ps4 would be a better all rounder, but of course comes at a price:)
*
I take RE003 (due to cheaper price) 295/unit
My previous tires were Continental ps3, is it considered an upgrade? My friend's review when dry, it's slightly better than PS4. When wet, it's kantoi..

PS4 = 380/unit, my friend also intro me a Thailand tires model "Westlake Sport RS".

Just changed 2 front tyres to new ps4 RM400 each. Year 2020 but made in China. My old tyres were also ps4 but it only last me almost 4yrs. Very bad condition had to change caused the sides bunga koyak like kulit peel off. Distant driven these tyres about 36K km.

Did alignment and was told to change camber screws both front RM150. Jaw drop tak jadi change.

Go to another shop to get your alignment done. I always buy my PS4 and do my alignment at Kee Hin, Old Klang Road. No camber out-of-spec bullshit.

I don't think the previous shop did the alignment properly for you as mine lasted well over 50k km with regular alignment and rotation, perhaps the toe setting was too aggressive or they deliberately did it badly in case they asked you to add on some stuff and you didn't. I even kept two of the four tyres and sold it to someone for just 50 as they had about less than 10k km left to go

Today check my tyre pressure with 70mai Lite air pump was shock all the tyres was pumped until 40+ psi. Proton recommend 32psi front and 30psi rear. No wonder the steering was so light and I can feel the car like floating.

Me last time go one workshop repair tyre.. they inflated it up to 40+psi too.

the ride feel so terrible and car is almost slip when passing through the connecting plate between the highway bridge or any small bump.

the tyre feels like want to explode.

5W30 is the recommended viscosity by Proton for the CFE camxpro, but the only option is the Syntium 800 I think. Syntium 3000, 5000, 7000 are only available in xW-40

Changed my car out of spec battery causing weird warning light when start car. The battery is already 2yrs. SC told the battery was over power can cause electronics to fry. For pass few days having problem starting car and need to try 3 x only can start. Furthermore CVT warning light comes up. No low battery indicator at all.

SC scan and found lots of error most probably due to out of spec battery.

Ask SC about camber screw was told not to simply change the front camber screw as always requested by tyre shop. There's always some minor negative reading. It could be manufacturing design purposely not set to neutral.

If have warning light indicator on for both parking brake and ESC while driving then one of the possible cause is brake switch. It only costs RM24 at SC. So far no more that warning light which previously happened quite often.

Normally brake switch main problem is when you brake lights turn on even you don't press the brake.

Has anybody found "poly" bushing engine mounting for this car? Since our chassis are the same, I am thinking it would fit Preve as well.

If not, what are the best engine mounting you all suggest? hmm.gif

Problem
- Heavy jerking for a few seconds when moving off from a standstill, worse when moving off at an incline
- no jerk if smooth accelerator press, but if pedal to the metal, confirm will jerk very badly
- Hill assist does not work anymore, it will roll back once u lift off the brake pedal

Parts that have been changed
- CVT Fluid and filter (Changed 3 times within 5k km)
- CVT Oil levelling
- Recall CVT dampener
- Computerised adaptation (plenty of times)
- CVT Valve body cleaning
- Coil Plugs
- Spark Plugs
- Engine and transmission mounting

it happened to me just about my 5 years waranty. they change the cvt unit then only solved.

Is due to 1st gear of the cvt slipping. No other solution. Thats the problem and need to replace.

They do all sorts of thing also until i got breakdown and send for repair for other thing, then the foreman say the first gear slipping. Been sending more service everytime with same problem but never solved. I guess he accidently leaked it. not sure.

Had it replaced, and the problem is gone.

Refurbished cvt is rm4k outside. Some workshop specialized doing this, as so many proton cvt car have this problem.

Go to suprima facebook group and post asking this. They will reply at comment.

My luck is good had it changed at proton. Just need to pay the cvt oil. Else the cost easily rm10k above at proton sc.

The fastest 0-100km/h Proton was Satria GTI, 8.5 seconds. If I remember correctly Suprima S was 9.9 seconds, slightly behind Preve 1.6 CFE 9.6 seconds (likely due to 17" vs 16" rim & broader tyres).
In terms of performance, I haven't seen a good comparison on Satria GTI vs Suprima S yet.

I owned the gti for 14 yrs & also own the suprima, the performance & handling on the gti is another level above the suprima. Suprima feels more mature, whereas the gti invites you to trash it any opportunity you get & listens to you. Different animals I'd say. The gti is lighter so slightly faster too. I love the 3rd gear pull smile.gif

I hope the new owner takes good care of it. 70k km for 14 years
