Just to share maintenance expenditure for my Suprima for 2017

- 60k KM service + Engine Mount + H7 bulb = RM1940.25
- Transmission mount - RM240
- TRW DTEC Pads - RM160
- Fan Relay - RM120
- Fan assembly and harness – Warranty FOC
- Assy Tensioner + Belt + labour - RM350+RM71+RM52
- Seal Cam rocker cover + labour - RM51.5+ RM36.16
- SY Zip Tube - RM82.81
- Battery - RM268 + RM13
- ISO mini relay - RM101.42
- 65k (70k) km Service – RM 284
- Fuel Tank replacement – RM 878.

Total around RM4.6k++

Still a few more issues to be fixed later though such as airbag light on, driver seatbelt mechanism faulty and brakes and tyres needs to be changed a set..

Shouldn't engine mount, fuel tank, and relay those under warranty? Why they ask you to replace the fuel tank anyway?
*
Engine mount not covered by warranty cause its considered wear n tear

QUOTE(TDUEnthusiast @ Oct 9 2017, 07:03 PM)
What's with the rest like fuel tank?
*
My fuel tank was leaking, probably bcoz last time hit some debris on the road.

You send your car to service center or authorized workshop? Another friend of mine also get to replace the engine and transmission mount foc.
*
Send to Proton Edar centre, not dealer.. the car is in its 4th year now so the extended warranty only covers engine and gearbox main components only

That sums up the bill. The 60km service @ rm1940 including spark plug, cvt fluid, cvt filter those right? Considering 5k for another 4 years of worry free, fair enough IMHO.
*
Yup, complete 60k service

I don't think its gonna be problem free, but hopefully will last lar.. OCH has been replaced once, the car has overheated 3-4 times over the years due to the fan wire harness melt. The bulbs (headlights and brake lights) needs to be changed every few month... The transmission and engine mount also was changed less than 2 years ago and change again during the 60k service.. and alot more lah..

What proton is doing now is just replacing the parts. But part quality still the same.

WOW! Almost RM 5K. Hmm... Thinking of getting either a Persona or a Polo. Polo 60K KM major service is about RM 2.5K.
minus those parts that has or might have problems.
*
Persona wont have such problems la.

turbo hose can claim 2 times? I only got once. Need to change when hit 65k km

Tyres-wear and tear. Mine generally last 10k km

how to know airbag faulty?

My up coming service is claiming seat belt mounting bracket. As I am tall the seat belt literally is cutting through the car. Will show pics later after being changed.
*
Airbag fault will have the indicator on the dashboard, how did u manage to claim seatbelt thingy? My driver side seatbelt jammed and very hard to pull now they say not covered under warranty, around 1k+ to replace the seatbelt assembly

My head unit just died with a loud popping sound

How long is the warranty for the head unit?

If cannot claim warranty, what is the best head unit that is compatible with the steering wheel control and reverse camera/sensor and also front sensor?

*
What app is this? Can it read fault codes for the airbag light?

I am looking forward for mine on next week. Ald scheduled for CVT damper change but no latest ECU update. Mine faced engine vibration during cold start. SC checked and said everything in good condition.
*
You schedule at which SC?
