Thanks, means nothing really to worry about?

Hahah, I can't give a guarantee. But just as filter, if cvt Kong, preve and exora users who are way more than rimau will have a lot more complaint. And you don't really see it, or the user don't feel its troublesome enuf to complain about it openly. The only random ppl that come and go and say proton punch sucks... I don't think they even own a proton. Prosmac with all the old users, second hand owner everyday post belanja pic, I don't see complain car dying left right.
Just drive it with a bit of spirit... Its not a car meant for babying. Hit genting let the tire scream, see the traction control light up.

Radiator - probably original. No idea about aftermarket options, but I'm sure there are plenty for Proton

Brake pad, some say original has really good bite without having to warm up compared to aftermarket options. Otherwise there are plenty of options like TRW and Bendix

You should be able to get it duplicated at a shop that does car keys. Otherwise the service centre should be able to help, although it will probably be very expensive

Ermm to all who are knowledgeable, i'm seeking assistant for my SS 2015.. Problem rough idling.. things i've tried

1. Replacing zip tube (proton replace)
2. Replacing new plugs (expensive, proton replaced)
3. 4 brand new plug coil ori (my DIY instinct)
4. Cleaning o2 sensor (dip with petrol few hours, light brushed and then CRC)
5. map sensor (sprayed with CRC electronic contact cleaner non residue)

Problem still exist.. Its sounded like high cam loping noise... haha if thats make sense.. since i replace all coils, when the engine hot, the idling smooth abit. I used obd code reader no fault code.. Send twice to proton to scan codes also no faults.. can somebody help me?

1. Timing belt tension
2. Check OCV valve
3. Check exhaust manifold gasket/turbo exhaust inlet gasket

Original NGK plugs are just slightly more expensive than aftermarket compatible iridium plugs

I am planning to get a used Suprima S 2014 soon, I am semi spirited driver, I saw someone on youtube saying using pedal shift is a major no on Suprima because it will accelerate the CVT kong. Is it true?

What do you think of a Proton Suprima which is being serviced and maintained by Proton authorised service centre went kaput just after 5 years with mileage below 150,000km? The damage is so bad that you have to change the whole engine and cost you a bomb? This is what happened to my 5 years 1 month old Proton Suprima. (exactly one month after my warranty ended)

When you asked them to compensate something, they just said that my warranty has ended. So the car is a junk now. Proton quoted me Rm23, 000++ to change the whole thing.

Think of getting a Proton? Forget about it.

Sorry for your lost but I will give proton benefit of the doubt. If this is common, there will be more cases like this everywhere now. Is there a specific fuel or maybe bogus oil engine used without knowledge? Or maybe drive style?

The suprima served me well for 4 years. Needed something bigger for more family members.

Some say it can be used safely but when performing manual shifts, it should not be done beyond 4000 rpm. I would say it is not healthy if the driver is very aggressive with manual shifting, otherwise it should be fine to use

Just don't expect it to be as nice as a DSG or even a normal auto

Did the timing belt break or something?

Also typically authorized service centres are not as flexible as the official ones. Try dropping a mail to proton we care and see if they can help, since you had your car maintained by proton for all this time

Alternatively outside workshops can probably have your engine repaired for less than 10000 probably, maybe even half of that

Hi everyone, my car used to have "fan sound" after drive and stopped the car (it's to cool the engine right?) But I don't heard any fan sounds for now right after serviced the car, is it normal or my "fan to cool the engine" already kaput?

Yeah no major problems so far, car had to be tolled back to SC once due to gear lock button stuck and couldn't engage any gears, but that's it

Been sending to 3S centre for service on time. Only thing I don't like about the car is how noisy it is (engine/gearbox/CVT), the stiff suspension and also the poor fuel consumption

Hai, i been facing the issue you mention, gear stuck at P and can’t move to any gears too..once you send to SC what the real issue ? is brake switch spoil issue? haven’t send it just have mechanic come and check.

Thanks

Disconnect your battery terminal, wait 5 minutes, reconnect back. Happened to me before and this fixed the issue
