Lot of positive review for the MBO Tuning with EA. Please drop a review here after you did the MBO Tuning  rclxms.gif

it will be nice if you can do a dyno run before you install the rachip and dyno again after the race chip installation.

By the way can i ask so far any issue on your car ? OCH ?
*
Well, since the mod is less than 1k...will not spend the money to scientifically proof it work hahah.

Just aesthetic issue, mainly. HUD feature slowly dying, Bluetooth, reverse alarm. Och was changed before anything happened. Less than 70k driven so not much abuse.

I got some weird issue after the battery died, the door switch need to press twice to open, haven't got to check it.

For the door switch issue , you mean when unlock using remote? If yes , please press lock + unlock together and hold until you hear the beep twice. and it will reset to normal .

Do you have issue with HU when u listen song with USB , the HU will " hang " for few second?

Thanks for the tip, will try it when I'm around.
Can't verify this, don't really use for mp3.

Being a race chip user, there is a slight increase in pulling power from jz about 2000 to 4500rpm. Better midrange. Top end not much difference. Above 4500 rpm is noise up to 6000rpm.

I hear MBO will help with top end as it is a remap and racechip will work better with it.
Anyways I dont live anywhere near EA so I'm not taking up that option.

Now looking for 2nd hand Works open pod setup with CAI.

Speaking from my experience, MBO helps more on mid range power. On stock form you'll probably find that the power is mostly more towards 4000 rpm before it starts moving as fast as you expect it to. With MBO 2000 to 3000 RPM becomes much more usable. Top end is improved, but you'll still run out of puff after reaching around 200km/h, so don't expect to win any Myvis even with MBO.

Thanks for sharing. Got to say, haven't met some really scary myvi. Let you guys know hows the process this weekend.

Just a quick review, didn't do much test. The other users explained it better, there's a marked improvement between 100 to 140. If you have a few years on your car and want to feel like it's your first day getting it, do the mod, no regrets.

Hi Jeff, hope you're enjoying the car. May I ask why do you still choose a rimau? It's a good choice 5 years back for most of us. Just want to hear from new owner.

You meant the mini cooper community like to perform this mod? Almost never seen the suprima owner fb page mention that (Or i just miss the news). I really can't imagine much rimau owner doing this mod just for the sake of allegely longer lasting gearbox.

Anyhow, if anybody want to have a benchmark, I got the mbox mod at around 55k mileage, and even the boss says that it can reaches 225nm. Lets see how long that last, hopefully 100k, lol.

Hi mafia,
The items up to your 60km are replaced under warranty or your own expenses if you don't mind? I just got a quote for the engine mount top and bottom for 800 plus. Nearly 5 years for my.rimau.

Whoa, less than 600 for both engine mount and gearbox mount? Okk....gotta check more then. I just ask a nearby menjalara shop that's all. Thanks for the tips.

Hi, gforce
Thanks for recommending hasrudin workshop. Just came back.

Just a quick review for those asking.
It's a shop at shah Alam , Google for mhtuner. But perhaps that was the old owner brand, nasrudin said he just started for 1 year plus. It's definitely not a tuner shop with tons of rims on walls etc, just a clean normal workshop. Got a few preve and rimau customer when I left. Prob one of em prosmac guy from the sticker. I need to test it on a cold start first if it has a huge difference.

Never had, but you can give the Mr Haruddin place a call he deal with many protons (check earlier pages) and also some local place nearby to give you a quote. But do share the price range just for future reference.
