Hi,

Im using unifi Advance 30 for a month. Each time i run oklaa speedtest, my download speed around 28.0-28.5Mbps but never exceed 28.5Mbps (except spike in the beginning of speedtest), flat graph, latency below 10ms, no bufferbloat issue (if run dslreport speedtest got A+) , terrace house, speedtest using several local server even TM Speedtest also same. Untill now, hundred of speedtest never reach full speed even once.. But for upload, I can get full speed.

Is it normal?

Thank you

What's the download speed for 30mbps UniFi package? I mean when you're really downloading something from the internet.

Btw, can the HyppTV device connect to the router/modem wirelessly?

I applied through agent, yes. I used streamyx for almost 7 years but TM does not offer me promo price for UniFi. I'm not getting one month free since it is only available if apply online through website which is at RM199. If you need the voice call plan then you should apply through website.

Thanks, mind sharing me ur agent number? I do not need voice call too haha and seems like 179 is the cheapest for new customer

Guys,

Wanna asked your opinion on this,

I was contacted by TM Marketing team yesterday. He greet me nicely and asked whether my UniFi 30 Mbps package is ok. I replied with simple yes. And later he told me the reason why he called.

Because of my loyalty to TM he would offer an update from previous package 30 Mbps to 50 Mbps with terms:

Renew contract 2 years
- Price of RM 232.15 every month (GST included. Normal price would be RM 264 every month)
- Call charges RM 0.20 per minute
- No box replacement, the router and everything that they give me last year will be remains.
- Early termination will be charged RM 500
- Switching to lower bandwidth will be charged RM 200
......and that pretty much it

Is that a good deal? Last time early adopter fight for free call, and they got it. I do not keen into free call but I want a better router if I can because last time TM was giving me INNATECH RG4332 router which cause headache among my housemate

Guys, Mind sharing to whom have upgrade to 50 Mbps. How much are you paying?

This already stated in official website @ https://www.tm.com.my/unifiadvance/Pages/personal.html

UniFi ADVANCE PLANTM 30Mbps
Download speed up to 30Mbps and upload speed up to 10Mbps

For your second question on HyppTV connect via wireless, it is possible but do take note the connection may not stable.
You shall need to configure port VLAN 600 for this, please refer guide as in Connect UniFi HyppTV Set Top Box Through WiFi (Unifi).

Does anyone encounter slow connection on wifi when using phone? Even when on 2Ghz / 5Ghz channel seems like much faster when using phone data plan. I'm subscribing to 30Mbps plan using xiaomi redmi note 3.

For those who subcribed RM199, is there any chance to eliminate free call so monthly become rm179?

If you have subscribed for more than 2 years. Go to TM Points, complain the internet slowness, ask for Discount Price.

work for me 2 times. Discount RM30.

Complaint already made. I thought TM cap the speed but they told, unifi speed by default already set to 35Mbps for download , 11Mbps for upload, IPTV 10Mbps, tel1 512kbps & tel2 512kbps (correct me if im wrong). Thats why i saw someone can get 32Mbps download speed. Very lucky one. Can u imagine, almost a thousand times speedtest but never once get full load. Already fiber maa, not copper anymore.

I'm using VIP5, of course the speed is slow, just suka2 complain, then they want to offer Discount Price RM30 for every month until I terminate the package.

now enjoy paying RM119(not include GST). They claimed that this is for Staff Price.

Well, I used to get 33Mbps, no surprise, however already capped to 28Mbps since months ago.
TM only promised 80% of the advertised speed which is 24Mbps, anything more than that has no issue.
I'm surprised they took your complaint.

TM technician came and conveyed the same message to me and nothing can be done as I'm already getting more than 24Mbps.

I hope you are aware that if technician comes to your place and finds no fault, you will be charged with RM 53. Just started recently. Anybody feel free to correct me.

80% best effort/SLA (service level aggrement)/standard QoS(quailty of service) just momokan only from my opinion. Call 100 CS from technical, billing, sales etc even technical person that come to on-site also always say 80% 80% 80%. But actually guideline from SKMM (MCMC) standard QoS is not less than 90%, not 80%.

Refer this link
http://www.skmm.gov.my/Sectors/Broadband/Q...of-Service.aspx
http://www.skmm.gov.my/skmmgovmy/files/att...s_Broadband.pdf

Technical person already came to my place. Already charged RM53 in bill but now in process waiver bcoz nobody told me about RM53 & asking permission 1st want technical support or not to come to my place. You know what, from CS to technical person no one mention about charge. If they charge then my speed become full speed, oklah.
