QUOTE(giko @ Sep 21 2016, 04:12 PM) There is OKU package for Unifi as in here.Somehow it looks like TM have not update their latest 30Mbps/50Mbps for OKU yet. Their page still offer VIP5, VIP10 and VIP20. |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Sep 27 2016, 11:08 AM) QUOTE(Xefron @ Sep 27 2016, 02:59 PM) I remember saw this sometime ago in TM website but couldn't find the direct link in TM website.I found this PDF file mentioned about On Site fee RM53, refer to the link from TM Online Help QUOTE On Site Support ‘On Site Support’ is when a TM technical team is sent to your premise to provide technical support or rectify problems with your TM service. Depending on the cause of the problem, there may be a fee of RM53 (incl. GST) for ‘On Site Support’ service. *Found it: Bro dannychen mentioned this news on April this year too. QUOTE(DecaPix @ Sep 30 2016, 10:40 AM) Only BTU (Broadband Termination Unit) comes with lifetime warranty. For RG (Residential Gateway), STB (HyppTV Set-up Box) and DECT phone, it only comes with standard one year warranty. Refer to Youtube from 14s until 20s, TM did mentioned about how Unifi Installation looks like: - BTU (fiber modem comes with lifetime warranty) - RG (commonly known as router) - STB for TV, etc QUOTE(sHawTY @ Sep 30 2016, 11:44 AM) That should be a typo Yup... typo error, it should be known as router instead of modem. Home Gateway is the router. Modem should be the Broadband Termination Unit (BTU) From the TM page, it stated that "This unit (BTU) functions like a modem and translates the pulses of light that carry data over the fibre optic cables into electrical signals.". |

QUOTE(krem0n @ Oct 3 2016, 01:55 PM) Please someone help me solve this: Have you raised this up to MCMC?I took unifi 30mbps pack in May 2016. When my hypptv subscription expired on 13 June 2016 and I logged on to the TM website and subscribed to the hypptv global package. Ever since then the page is showing that I have incurred RM 384.9 cancellation charge even though I just upgraded my hypptv package. I called them and logged a complaint with them and they acknowledged that it is a system fault. But they kept closing the ticket. Then I was advised to go in person to their service centre and write a complaint. I did that on 17 Jul 2016. I emailed them after 1 month and they said they had to do a detailed investigation which is why it's taking so long. But I had to pay the fine in the meanwhile because the billing kept calling me and saying even if investigation is ongoing I need to pay to keep service ongoing. They also gave me a second ticket number saying the previous one is too old and yet this issue is still unresolved. It has been almost 3 months. Please help me with this. I am so tired of this. |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Oct 6 2016, 09:14 PM) Does anyone have experience of relocating UniFi line? I'll be moving to a new place soon which is just a neighbouring taman of my current place. I checked in UniFi coverage, this house is covered and with available port. The current tenants also told me, they don't have UniFi so their port should be still available. As mentioned in TM official page, under number #16I know I can call 100 to ask but I know you guys are faster than them. Thanks. QUOTE 16. What if I need to relocate my UniFi service? Are there any charges that I need to pay? Relocation requests can be made at any TMpoint outlets and is subject to service availability. The relocation fee of RM300 shall be waived (for first time relocation). Or you can refer to response from other forumer in here, in summary: - relocation is free - go to TMPoint outlets and fill-up the form - you may be charged for additional wiring if needed in new place |

QUOTE(cenkudu @ Oct 9 2016, 11:30 AM) my unifi modem and connection located downstairs and the signal is poor at my study room upstairs. at the same time i have N600 wireless dual band TP link modem that was bought in Australia. can i use that modem without issue as it is australia version and how to configure it for both internet and hyptv. Maybe you can refer the step in here or blogspot? You probably need to download Malaysia's version of firmware so that you can see the Unifi profile in it. Disclaimer: Do this at your own risk, I am not responsible if you mess your N600 TP-link modem. |

QUOTE(tohff7 @ Oct 13 2016, 10:20 AM) I am still on VIP5. Anybody know any ways to get a free upgrade to 10mbps from TM? I called TM few days ago after my contract ended on last month and ask for free upgrade to 10Mbps.Already past 2 year contract (ended in March) and also prompt payment via auto-debit since subscribing the service. Somehow they told me that the free upgrade is based on "selected customer" and they do not offer free upgrade automatically after contract expired. Too bad I am not their list even though prompt payment for past two years. |

QUOTE(sHawTY @ Oct 13 2016, 10:38 AM) Call TM helpline and ask them the process of termination The package they offer to me two days after my contact expired is RM179 for 30Mbps with 600 minutes talk time, when I asked for free upgrade to 10Mbps and they only have 30Mbps, 50Mbps and 100Mbps for me to choose. When they ask why, just tell them you are getting lower price with Maxis Fibre Soon someone from the promotion team will call you back with some offers Let me try your suggestion later at night and see how it goes. Thanks btw~ |

QUOTE(kelvin988 @ Oct 13 2016, 10:46 AM) Not all VIP5 left out for free upgrade, TM offer to "selected customer" only. Free upgrade from VIP10 to 30Mbps is still the same as in RM179 (or RM199). But when comes to VIP5 free upgrade to to 10Mbps, the fee remain as in RM149. VIP5 is good enough for me, if they can give me free upgrade to 10Mbps that would be great! QUOTE(fkinmeng @ Oct 13 2016, 10:48 AM) alternatively, you can complain to skmm about unfair treatment, most likely you will receive an upgrade after 14 working days. Thanks for the idea!that's how i got mine. Isn't we need case number provided by TM in order to raise complaint to SKMM? |

QUOTE(jiaen0509 @ Oct 24 2016, 06:08 PM) My home just install Unifi, have not open to register yet. What do you all think? Is apply now or wait until next year? Are you referring to the green box outside your house? If you are staying in new housing area with less resident staying around, you may wait. But if I'm in your situation, I would register it much earlier to avoid come in to this situation --> "running out of port" . |

Something to share.... especially for those who are in VIP5.
I just received call from TM Marketing (+60326015000) that I have been offered to upgrade my current speed from 5Mbps to 10Mbps with additional RM10 monthly (New price: RM159 exclude GST), then by early next year will be automatically upgrade to 30Mbps with the same amount, no extra charge for this upgrade. Beside that, this new package: - no contract, this mean I can terminate/upgrade anytime - free unlimited local call (same as VIP5), exclude mobile number - HyppTV package upgrade from Basic to Aneka (extra few channels) - no extended warranty for existing hardware (Modem, HyppTV box, Dect Phone) Did I take this offer... why not? Yes I am... |

QUOTE(alexwsk @ Oct 25 2016, 04:32 PM) most ppl here got FREE upgrade from VIP5 to VIP10 dy, including me, whether will free upgrade again to ADV30 next yr totally no idea No black and white, it's all from TM phone marketing team.but for you to add RM10 to upgrade to VIP10 with free upgrade to ADV30 next yr According to the person, they will start record our conversation when I agree the package. She read out few statement that my name with house address / contact number is taking the new package 10Mbps with price RM159 (RM149 with extra RM10 per-month). Then stated clearly that there will be no contract , free local call, no extended warranty for hardware, free upgrade to Aneka package and will get free upgrade to 30Mbps early next year. After that I have to say agree / yes / betul. QUOTE(chubbyqq @ Oct 25 2016, 05:09 PM) add RM10 != free already la. That marketing department logic 404. I'm aware that free upgrade from 5Mbps to 10Mbps without additional charge. Most of us got free upgrade from VIP5 to VIP10 without any charges. Ask them back why you got charged instead lol As alexwsk mentioned, will there be free upgrade to ADV30 next year, what I was told was No. If I'm remain as VIP5, the free upgrade is only to 10Mbps, that's all. |
