based on bajet2017, if subscribe new streamyx/unifi package before 2017, will entitle free upgrade later?

doesn't work la, cos the changes have to go thru TM approval process, tried long time ago

what's the different between Symmetrical and Asymmetrical, i heard unifi VIP is using Symmetrical and unifi 30/50 is using Asymmetrical, any experts can explain on this?

In the context of computer networking, Symmetrical means Upload/Download speed are working at the same speed. Asymmetrical meaning Upload/Download speed has been configured working in different speed.

VIP = Symmetrical because upload and download same speed.
Unifi Advance/Pro = Asymmetrical because Download speed faster than upload.

Usually household users use less upload bandwidth while some business users need high speed symmetrical broadband to host files/website/emails in-house.

Something to share.... especially for those who are in VIP5.


I just received call from TM Marketing (+60326015000) that I have been offered to upgrade my current speed from 5Mbps to 10Mbps with additional RM10 monthly (New price: RM159 exclude GST), then by early next year will be automatically upgrade to 30Mbps with the same amount, no extra charge for this upgrade.

Beside that, this new package:
- no contract, this mean I can terminate/upgrade anytime
- free unlimited local call (same as VIP5), exclude mobile number
- HyppTV package upgrade from Basic to Aneka (extra few channels)
- no extended warranty for existing hardware (Modem, HyppTV box, Dect Phone)

Did I take this offer... why not? Yes I am...

Should I apply Unifi now or wait until next year?

Lol it would make no shit sense at all if TM doesn't upgrade current pro 100 users or lower the price for 100 users.

I mean if ADV 50 users get a free upgrade to pro 100, but pay RM50 less than pro 100 users, then wtf are the current pro 100 users paying extra for actually? Might as well just cancel the line and re-apply, even if that means paying a penalty.

Effin stupid if it's true that pro 100 users get nothing, especially more so for biz users (who pays even more).

most ppl here got FREE upgrade from VIP5 to VIP10 dy, including me, whether will free upgrade again to ADV30 next yr totally no idea
but for you to add RM10 to upgrade to VIP10 with free upgrade to ADV30 next yr , get them to email you in black and white if you want to go ahead with it

they offered me Unifi 50 with Jumbo Pack + STD20 = RM 249 (internet package RM219) if without contract i will take...

Most of us got free upgrade from VIP5 to VIP10 without any charges. Ask them back why you got charged instead lol

but few months ago mine from VIP 5 auto upgrade to VIP 10 with paying same price
