Unlikely as OPR is going to be cut some more. Even the highest Affin (4.05% now) will be reduce.

In tis respect, need to lock-in slightly longer tenure

Under Mbb merdeka promotion.
*Should there be any Overnight Policy Rate (OPR) change, the offer rates may be revised.

What is the meaning ?
They able to change the currently rates if we already placed an account?
or the rates on board ?
*
No worry..
Once u place, the rate is locked..
Only when mature, it will reflect new lower rate..

The winners and those who needn't worry are those who took in 2015

Ambank's 2 years FD @ 4.6%p.a.

The real winners were those placed the MBSB exclusive 5 before it discontinued, 4.7% for 5 years, even better than most corporate bonds

can specifically request for banker's cheque. (may not be cheap depending how you negotiate) smile.gif
Go to your homebrach, and transfer out via any transfering methods.

Bangkok bank 4.1% still the highest for straight forward 12m FD, but not many ppl seems interested. Is it due to far distance or long waiting time to process ?

this is why bank offering highest rate may not be practical or feasible since you'll be wasting time (travel/counter) and money (parking/toll/petrol) just to gain a little gain.
