TNG: +1% charge, 1% Online CB
S Pay Global: currently 0% charge, 0% CB
ShopeePay: currently 0% charge, 1% CB (but don't know when ShopeePay will follow other ewallets to charge 1%)

Forget Boost.

Damn the revised benefits are shit.

Previously you could get an effective cashback of 8% for RM500 spend, which is the HIGHEST in Malaysia.

Now, with the higher spend threshold, in the best case scenario, the highest effective cashback for RM1k spend is only 5.5%, and you must max out your Dining/Petrol/Groceries to hit this. Previously, between the 4 categories, you can manage and don't need to max every category out.

If one choose to reload tng, then the online cb considered zero due to contra 1%. If shopee, then have to think what to buy.

I will need to consider my spending pattern. Come annivery have to cancel if not beneficial.

I'm thinking of ditching the HLB Wise and replacing it with:

1. Maybank Islamic Ikhwan Amex Platinum - 8% online cashback (everyday)
2. Maybank Islamic Ikhwan Petronas Visa Platinum - 8% petrol cashback (weekend)

Can use Spaylater for groceries. Won't miss dining cause I rarely maxed it on HLB Wise.

If follow Wise 1.0, 2.0, 3.0 method of calculating CB.
Dining RM130
Petrol RM145
Groceries RM145
Online RM580
Total CB: 20+15+15+6

Online is bonus since Wise 3.0 (Oct 2021-).
Get used to Wise benefits (Wise 1.0 & 2.0) without Online CB, even AF was RM169 (Wise 1.0)

Don't rely on Amex-Spaylater. It won't last forever. Enjoy it while it lasts. SEAMoney is due to start digital banking business.

i wasnt targeting online, and i'm aware of this cat earlier.

the new overall proposition seems good for my spending need (without online)

even the prior wise feature is worth the trouble (maxing out cb with rounding trick), also that time without online category.

Ah.. I have been considering to apply HL Wise, because it suits my spending pattern, and the effective cashback rate was good for my uses. Now seems like I have to hunt for another card again
