I am using Intel Stock Cooling and same speed with yours (400x8) . Idle 55-57c. vCore 1.4, the rest +0.2. Very loose timing. Using Kingston valueram. Full load with orthos 67c. If wanna go to (450x8) then vCore need around 1.5. Full load will be 82c.

Using Proc E6400 and DS3 @ F7 bios. Intel Stock Cooling.

Is this similar to the hynix C4 you guys been talking about?
Link

I might buy it and sell my OCZ Platinum RAM... Wanna cut some cost...

Upping vCore can stablize the RAM? I'm currently undervolting my Proc at 1.225V. RAM becomes unstable at over 450MHz... If yes I might try upping the voltage...

I'm from Ipoh, sudying in the UK... The OCZ RAM very ex. Bought for 170pounds ~ RM1200. The Hynix C4 only cost 110pounds ~ RM700ish, so wanna save some money... About OCbility, I can run 4-5-4-15 at 450Mhz @ 2.1V... System is stable but give a few errors when Memtest for 24hrs... I dropped it to 430MHz and now is completely stable.

But gengstapo said that low vcore might affect RAM stability. Not sure bout that... If it is so, I might try upping the vCore and try to up the memory speed again cause now i'm undervolting at 1.225V @ 430MHzx7

Yr Hynix is extremely good ledi.. OC better than D9...
Hynix 533 can reach 1000.. tht is about 100% OC..
D9 800 can only reach <1100.. about 35% OC only.

UK should be as cheap as US without the Value Added Tax. Else, it is cheaper to buy in malaysia cause buying in UK will cost 17.5% more. I bought my e6300 for around RM770 OEM version which is not cheap. However from time to time it is possible to get cheap stuffs from online store, but generally UK is more expensive than Malaysia and I think US is still among the cheapest country to buy computer stuffs, not sure about China wink.gif...

I got the pic of the C4 here:

So you guys think this is the right one? If yes I might quickly grab myself the bargain before its gone... He is selling 2 sticks atm...

nice result U got there...C4 is a nice value chip. thumbup.gif thumbup.gif I wish my Corsair VS can do that. Doing DDR800 4-4-4-12@ 2V as well...Memtest overnight, no error.
For 700ish, it is a bargain ( espicially at UK). Grab it b4 U miss out the chance.

I think the code is different cause the code I wrote is for the whole RAM module... The code on the RAM chips suppose to be different... Anyway, I went to Hynix website and checked... I think they are the same RAM chips... Btw, what's the Vcore of your proc currently?

Hehehe... Maybe can try to bid rather than using quick grab, then the price can be lowered summore... wink.gif

siauann, will you tell me the speed, timing, vDIMM and the vCore that you are running on atm with ur c4?

That's purty good also. For me x-x-x-12 or x-x-x-10 no diff, you don't see the diff in day2day apps, only in synth benchmarks. As long as ur system is stable then good enough liao.

Magicdust - using a e6400 @ 3.2GHz @ 1.25V Vcore.

Memory timing is not so important in C2D. Most between 2 extreme timing is around 5%. Also, I don't see much gain after 3Ghz and above. Most likely our Graphic card can't keep up with the procs.

that's what i heard as well...that's why for c2d, i'd go for ram with higher fsb, to hit 1:1 with the proc...and yes, for synt benchmarking, might have some improvement with tighter timing especially for SPI...so, my choice of ram: big fat ram (capacity) and high fsb thumbup.gif (even thou i'm waiting for the Crucial 10th Anni...not becoz of the timing but the fsb tongue.gif )
