I think the CL3 is a bug. Can you try to run 1:1 with that FSB and run Memtest?
*
@Tampoi
its not bug.. actually FYI tht setting is not stable one.. Failed Prime test.
I tried 1:1 setting before.. but my E6300 cant go beyond 437fsb. So i have run 2.5 multipler try to 'burn in' my ram with +0.6vDimm because i dunno how to use memtest.. dont have floopy drive too.. tongue.gif

Yr Hynix is extremely good ledi.. OC better than D9...
Hynix 533 can reach 1000.. tht is about 100% OC..
D9 800 can only reach <1100.. about 35% OC only.

QUOTE(MaGicDust @ Nov 12 2006, 07:55 PM)
The Hynix C4 only cost 110pounds ~ RM700ish

.... now i'm undervolting at 1.225V @ 430MHzx7
*

UK RAM is cheaper than here.. 2GB = 110pounds = RM 770
I tot my fren say here is cheaper than UK blink.gif
Yr E6300 bought from UK too?? how much??

Memory timing is not so important in C2D. Most between 2 extreme timing is around 5%. Also, I don't see much gain after 3Ghz and above. Most likely our Graphic card can't keep up with the procs.
*
for me.. memory is the most important thing, becos my proc aldy reach the highest limit. So i have to run tighest timing to get good score in Super Pi.
running 1087Mhz @3-4-3-3

I am planning to upgrade to E6400 now, hope can get higher OC. Now my E6300 can only hit 440fsb. But im not satisfy laugh.gif . I tot E6400 can easily hit 400fsb.. i sold my E6300 alrdy biggrin.gif

Yes i know E6600 is better bocoz hv higher multiplier.. but i dont need 4GHz clock speed for now. Previously my E6300 can hardly reach 3Ghz, its alrdy sufficient for normal use. Really fast enough.
Reason i wanna get E6400 is just wanna get a proc tht can easily hit > 3.2GHz, thts all.. nothing more.
Moreover, i only need to op up RM60 to get a E6400 after i sell my E6300 with RM600. If E6600 i nid top up few hundreds.. sakit hati tongue.gif
Just Oc for fun icon_idea.gif and like goldfries said, Better proc is good for benchie, for normal use, E6300 got not much different with E6600. (rich E6600 user dont flame me ok notworthy.gif )

My E6300 can run 1.275 vCore @400fsbx7 stable. I prefer undervolt vCore to get lower temp at higher clock speed.

it's normal, takes seconds to spin, if on fan fail warning in bios, lagi annoying, hear long beep ....
will get used to it...
well alot of ppl using ds3 including me....
basicly i started of following what yehlai said in a few pages before,
try 350fsb, 100pcie, memory x2, voltage don't use auto, lock it at 3.25... later tht u can discover yourself......can try lowering vcore to get lower temp, then torture test it with orthos
*
vCore is 1.325 la dude... sweat.gif lolz i scared tht guy fry his new proc if use 3.25v. Nid P.M him fast b4 he OC.
Wao.. u got FMA PSu ledi. Good ler icon_idea.gif

Edit:
QUOTE(Fjive @ Dec 7 2006, 09:57 AM)
hi guys...i'm a bit out of touch with CPU stuffs alr...wanna ask...how does the clocks and multipliers work for C2D ... FSB is 1066 and core speed is 1.86ghz (E6300)...multiplier is 7...

I remember for P3 it used to be simple where FSB X Multiplier = Clock speed.... 100 FSB x 5.5 = P3 550mhz...but C2D i dont understand how it works...anyone care to explain to the newbie ? hehehe
*
Not much different. Your E6300 stock is 266fsb x 7multiplier = 1866 or 1.866GHz
If u over clock by increasing the fsb to 400fsb, it will be 400fsb x 7multiplier = 2.8GHz.
The stock vCore is 1.325v, vDimm= 1.8v

hmmm...how come from those web sites and price list it says FSB 1066mhz...if the FSB is 266...confused lar
*
Tht 1066 is Rated FSB. Its is 266x4 = 1066. ( i dunno why sweat.gif u need ask other)
Ignore tht, just adjust the fsb. Stock reading should be 266.

Edit: check with cpu-z the u will see
