QUOTE(pierreye @ Nov 13 2006, 01:59 PM) Memory timing is not so important in C2D. Most between 2 extreme timing is around 5%. Also, I don't see much gain after 3Ghz and above. Most likely our Graphic card can't keep up with the procs. for me.. memory is the most important thing, becos my proc aldy reach the highest limit. So i have to run tighest timing to get good score in Super Pi.running 1087Mhz @3-4-3-3 |

Yes i know E6600 is better bocoz hv higher multiplier.. but i dont need 4GHz clock speed for now. Previously my E6300 can hardly reach 3Ghz, its alrdy sufficient for normal use. Really fast enough.
Reason i wanna get E6400 is just wanna get a proc tht can easily hit > 3.2GHz, thts all.. nothing more. Moreover, i only need to op up RM60 to get a E6400 after i sell my E6300 with RM600. If E6600 i nid top up few hundreds.. sakit hati Just Oc for fun This post has been edited by yehlai: Dec 6 2006, 01:39 PM |

QUOTE(deric88 @ Dec 6 2006, 11:49 PM) it's normal, takes seconds to spin, if on fan fail warning in bios, lagi annoying, hear long beep .... vCore is 1.325 la dude... will get used to it... well alot of ppl using ds3 including me.... basicly i started of following what yehlai said in a few pages before, try 350fsb, 100pcie, memory x2, voltage don't use auto, lock it at 3.25... later tht u can discover yourself......can try lowering vcore to get lower temp, then torture test it with orthos Wao.. u got FMA PSu ledi. Good ler Edit: QUOTE(Fjive @ Dec 7 2006, 09:57 AM) hi guys...i'm a bit out of touch with CPU stuffs alr...wanna ask...how does the clocks and multipliers work for C2D ... FSB is 1066 and core speed is 1.86ghz (E6300)...multiplier is 7... Not much different. Your E6300 stock is 266fsb x 7multiplier = 1866 or 1.866GHzI remember for P3 it used to be simple where FSB X Multiplier = Clock speed.... 100 FSB x 5.5 = P3 550mhz...but C2D i dont understand how it works...anyone care to explain to the newbie ? hehehe If u over clock by increasing the fsb to 400fsb, it will be 400fsb x 7multiplier = 2.8GHz. The stock vCore is 1.325v, vDimm= 1.8v This post has been edited by yehlai: Dec 7 2006, 11:51 AM |

QUOTE(Fjive @ Dec 7 2006, 11:51 AM) hmmm...how come from those web sites and price list it says FSB 1066mhz...if the FSB is 266...confused lar Tht 1066 is Rated FSB. Its is 266x4 = 1066. ( i dunno why Ignore tht, just adjust the fsb. Stock reading should be 266. Edit: check with cpu-z the u will see This post has been edited by yehlai: Dec 7 2006, 11:55 AM |
