ok. i am now trying to prime it at all default including the cpu and ram. see whether orthos fails o not. this is the tat's temp.

Orthos still running now. phew~

Yeah, that's very hot... Maybe you should try to get the temperature right first before trying to push the proc... I would use the TAT's function to load both the cores cause they produce a higher max temperature compared to running 2 Super Pi or Prime

Make sure you apply enough to cover the entire processor's heat sink, evenly spreaded out with a card, the coating should be evenly distributed with a thickness of probably 0.5-1mm. Thermal paste often require up to 1-3days to 'dry up' to reach maximum performance... BTW, also make sure that the screw of the HSF is properly locked on the back of the mobo (sometimes it doesn't go through the screw hole properly) and secured in the lock position.

got 2 methods i know off:
1) AS5 official guide which I normally use AS5 application guide
2) Other method is "In the center of the cpu heatspreader, put a drop of thermal paste the size of one bb. Then just squish it down with the heatsink, lock your heatsink in"

Ultra-120 around Rm200+...not sure about market price. I got it from a forumer here.
I dun use the stock cooler so ddont know the temp. I actually upgrade from XP-120 to Ultra-120...I got around 10+C reduction from this upgrade.

Side Note: I couple ultra-120 with NBM 12X12X38 (sold by AllnGap) running at low speed. I tried full blast the fan, only around 2C drop. But I cant bare the noisy... rclxub.gif rclxub.gif . Now fan stay at low speed@1700RPM

I dont know... I'm using Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro (Cost ~RM130 in UK)... At full blast (Without SmartFan @ 2500rpm)... I can do 57C a peak load with TAT... E6300@3.15Ghz, vCore@1.225. However, normally I'll just leave SmartFan (around 1000rpm) on cause full blast is just too loud... The temp will peak at 62C...

i m using scythe mine now...but i think ultra 120 is better.... well i have no hardware to test out the infinity yet as my fren find its hard to remove it...so i cant borrow it from him sweat.gif compare ultra 120 to infinity they shd be around the same according to reviews but the size of infinity is just too big, u might have fitting problem ler.... since the performance of ultra 120 is around the same as infinity and ultra 120 is smaller in size.... it shd be better... well just my 2 cents.... whistling.gif wanted to get also from svc.com few days back, they put put the price wrongly .... usd 39.99 only...then the 2nd day i check again it goes back to 49.99 sad.gif

now i have 3 air coolers in mind.... infinity , ultra 120 or tuniq tower 120 tongue.gif

btw my idle time for scythe mine + fm121 fan @ around 1700rpm is 42 - 45 degree without air cond and loda will be around 58 degrees or 60 sweat.gif....i dunno if its good or wat...conroe is so freaking hot!!!! vmad.gif

Yr idle temp seem to good to me. Mine idle around 45-47C. rclxub.gif rclxub.gif
But your delta after load is kind of bad...Maybe yr Mine cannot tame yr beasty E6700@ 3.77GHz sweat.gif sweat.gif
Why not give Tuniq Tower 120 a try since U can get it at state. We at here no chance to get it...sad.gif So far I didnt see any1 in Lowyat had it. Maybe can give us a Mine vs Tuniq Tower 120 review.. tongue.gif

My rig quite similar to your setup, basSist.

I'm using Mushkin 1Gb x 2 at 800Mhz 1:1 5-5-5-12 at 2.1v. Currently running at 3.2Ghz running on AlphaCool water cooling at stock voltage. CoreTemp idle at 42 degrees load at 50 degrees
