i bought the e4300 at viewnet. rm614.  stated price rm604 but have to add rm10 coz buy proc only.

my mobo have both agp and pcie. but pcie speed only 4x. also have both ddr and ddr2. the chipset is VIA(R) PT880 Pro/Ultra.

u dont wanna buy this board if ur into overclock. but it is a great board if u still have all those old but reliable things (Kingston HyperX ddr ram, 6600GT agp gc) or if u dont really have much money to buy all things at the same time, like me tongue.gif.  took me 6 months planning to setup this new system.. rclxms.gif

wahHhh

Try this:

How to run 2x Prime95 in one shot?:

- copy and paste the prime95 folder.

- to run CPU stress test : option -> torture test -> custom.
Set min FFT to 8K, max FFT to yr L2 cache size. TICK 'run in place FFT' and set to 1 min.

- to run RAM stress test : option -> torture test -> custom.
Set min FFT to 8K, max FFT to 4096K. RAMsize = 1/10th of yr system RAM, UN-TICK 'run in place FFT' and set to 1 min.

..................................................................................................................................................................

For HT/ Dual Core system
"i think for computers with HT, dual core, or other PCs with "more than one CPU" should have prime95 running on separate affinities. if it's not changed, then at the end of the day, regardless of how many instances of prime95 is run, your CPU utilisation would be 50% at most." - thanx myuu for reminder

Actually u should run Orthos Prime test instead of prime95. Orthos prime is design for dual core/Core2 proc.
And i think 1.3125vCore is too low for 3.2GHz set up and u play DVD summore, thts why ur proc crash and pc will reboot. (vCore is too low so proc is not stable.). If u set 1.3125vCore and try Orthos i dont think u can prime stable for 2hrs anymore.
Safety range for vCore adding is +5% vCore.

Guys, to DS3 users. Regarding the latest F10 bios, i found that it has a flaw which results in performance degradation in 3DMark compared to previous F6/F7 bios... I noticed i lost around 16FPS - 20FPS in certain run especially in 3DMark2001SE car chase and lobby (high & low detail)... It is good, in terms of clock-to-clock speed and allow me to further stretch the divider to 4:5 when running above 400FSB but i don't understand that it caused severe damage towards our beloved FPS sad.gif

you don't call them beta tester, beta testers are the one testing a UNRELEASED product for bugs and problems,
we are just posting results and mini reviews cool2.gif
