Currently looking at the 3 models below (new car):-
Honda City E
Vios Dual-VVTI J/E
Bezza Advance (same monthly repayment as above, but shorter loan duration)

Is the Vios maintenance/parts cheaper than City in long run (especially out of warranty)? The new Vios is slightly cheaper than the City E (and the J with ESC too!), but slightly less feature. As for the Bezza, it is much cheaper, but I feel that the seats are bit cramped for a sedan. And the back passenger seats are too upright.

city
-abit bigger than the vos iirc?
-i think the E has folding seats compared to the vios J (double check, not sure)

vios
-this is a sort of 'new' vios. One would think that the car is not really mature enough to tell if there are any potential issues BUT toyota really looooooves reusing stuff. Its pretty much the same case here.... same old body (proven stuff), same engine used in other cars (avanza/sienta) and what i assume to be a very similar cvt in there as well. heck they even threw in stability control.
-Spare parts im not sure but im guessing it wont be far off the old vios other than when it comes to the cvt. (again just guessing). The vios and city's maintanance costs are not really that far off, the city being alittle more to maintain in general. It was only the city's 1st cvt gearbox which cost a crapton more to replace in event it kaputs

bezza
-imo basically a low cost vois... maybe a 'vios-lite'
-i guess you pay more you get more applies here?
-a very decent town car but a not a great option if you do lots of long distance traveling.
-if driven carefully... the fc for this thing is fantastic

i don't think it is possible for a regular phone to do it.
the video was very shaky as the phone was mounted on the car screen then switching to the lousier front cam.

Comparing a 2 year old suprima and new axia,

Which one better? Price is abt 15k diff

Suprima - bigger space, safe, stable, 2 yr warranty

Axia - save money, fc superb , not so safe, 5 yr warranty

Mthly travel 1.8k km

Atleast will drive for another 5 years , so things to consider .. maintenance and fc (if oil keep going up)

Mthly can afford 400+/- will try to nego suprima lower or more DP, can we lower insurance cover also? My name 0 ncb..

I have recently migrated to Australia and I am looking for a car for daily commuting. This car would be share with my wife and must be in automatic transmission.

I have shortlisted my list to 2012 Kia optima 2.4 petrol, Toyota corolla and 2012 Hyundai i30 1.6 diesel. Which one would be better choice for me? Thanks

Hyundai i30.

this...

dude... very obvious choice....

few notes.... from my short experience with modified cars
1)do you know how much it costs to maintain a b18? its not bad actually but its not ever going to be as cheap as the saga... remember..
i. these types of cars are usually quite abused
ii. parts are old and need replacing. do you know how much this can cost?
iii. you have to know how a conversion was done... sometimes owners skimp while converting... problems might showup down the road so never do that.
2)me no respect for the gsr.... go straight for the type r.... personally respect vtecs for what they are, but only the type r engines.... gsr's are to me, neither here nor there. its faster then most things on the road (assuming in good cond) but slower than you would expect....
3)u must know your stuff very very well... check everything the owner claims... you should be able to check almost anything other than internals (e.g. cams, valves, pistons rods)
4) i cannot emphasis on how much can go wrong when it comes to modified cars lol.

haha modified cars.... unless you know what you are getting, never a good choice. most of the time, you get what you pay for

haha whichever tickles your fancy, all actually pretty good to me. All 3 are new, have similar prices and sort of similar kind of features biggrin.gif
*if you are fine with rear space, persona is probably a good choice given the pricetag

i assume you mean compared to the suprima?
its still a very different car ya know.... one is a small sedan which gets really great mileage and does very well in town. The other is a much larger more powerful car with less than avarage fc...

between the 2 i personally like the suprima better BUT it will cost you more to run... fuel, wear and tear parts, tires, oil.... its pretty much more expensive to maintain other than possibly the battery.

@_@ fd compared to any of these... would be a big downgrade if you ask me... whats your budget like? find it alittle strange that you want to be downgrading from an FD to a saga or much older civic. if you are working with a tight budget not a good idea to look into these performance oriented (/converted) models...

Though now, since mentioned that you have owned a fd before and assuming nothing has changed in terms of what you can afford to spend on your cars, hmm.gif i think you should actually have no issues maintaining any of the cars you have mentioned....
