Depends on what type of saving accounts.
Since you have maxed out or almost maxed out the 60K in OCBC 360, where else do you park your funds if you do not do any sort of investment?

Hi guys,

it is me again? Wonder which service provided in Malaysia hold the best international call charge if I use my MY number call back to Malaysia? (Charge lowest)

So far seems Digi charging RM 1.60 per mins. How about other service provider?

I don't think Digi is the best for international roaming. I was charged for missed calls (Those missed calls went to voicemail and cost me around RM35), I decided to turn off roaming and only turn it on whenever I need it. Those are marketing calls shiet.
Back to your question, unless to landline otherwise why not just utilise LINE/Whatapps/Wechat voice/video calls? Its free anyway unlimited. If data is an issue then use Wifi at home for both sides.

Banking/Financial industry is overrated. First, not everyone in the industry earn that much (some people just act like they earn a lot but no saving/asset at all or they are rich first and then banker). Second, retrenchment/lay-off is happening almost everyday, go check stats by MOM see how many % of total from this industry. Third, Google how well they perform and what's their payout, mostly declined % YoY and/or being fined big sum $$$.
Nevertheless, it is still okay but no longer like last time anymore.

Are you just focusing on bank compliane or risk?

There are many commodities firm in Sg also looking for compliance/risk officer, maybe you can try that as well.

do u really need the voicemail?
the first thing i do usually when i sign up with telco - disable voice mail
if i am not mistaken, voice mail will be charged when roaming because it gets routed from local to roaming then connected back to local (voice mail).
long long time ago, i remember it was 8bux per voice mail.

When I submitted mine long ago, it was photocopy (2 copies) for main applicant and original hardcopy to verify.
they requested from SPM onwards.
Anything missing, will need to sign a form stating why it is not provided.

Cannot only have savings no investment? I don't yet have 50k now just think that it's not that hard to achieve. But 0 investment purely save for the sake of saving.

I don't really need, its kind of legacy package which I didn't update when I came over SG. Never occur to me they going to keep call me and it went into voice mail.. I am using same number with Digi since 12 years ago.. Been with this Digi plan for 5-6 years now, wanted to change Operator .. But I need roaming for TAC, any cheap plan/operator to recommend? biggrin.gif

I am not saying Financial/Banking field is "very" bad, but they are no longer glorious like many years ago. Before Lehman Brothers.. Financial crisis.. Banker (Front office) can easily get 12 months over bonus and business trips and all expensive perks (Which I was told by my senior managers) but now its unlikely unless u can bring in millions of revenue. It is still okay - but just want to manage expectations.
Personally, Compliance is good field to venture for Financial/Banking especially SG, MAS and MOM are like Boss so yea compliance job are still "required" job compared to other "good to have" job. But if your specialty are MY regulatory/jurisdiction specific, I am afraid u need to do more to harness your skill and knowledge to be at par and competitive as local SG or other FTs.
