So without employment letter (which I doubt any banks will accept that proof since anyone can type such letter), you are implying money to put in to open is higher?

If you monitor the extras that you are paying, IMHO it's not really worth it even though banks throw in the 5X reward points or Cash Back. Unless it's business expenses then I'll spend anyhow
Been driving like that for more than 5 years. No problem, never get asked or stop

Thanks! I'm gonna assume the keyword is "residing in Singapore". =)

It's true for DBS. I'd assume it's true for POSB as well.

Yep, I get charged the fee before. That's why now tend to keep the money in Singapore instead of Malaysia. Which is also why I prefer to pay with my SG debit card and get stuck with the recent introduction of Pin and Pay in MY.

Not sure if someone can help me. I am considering to apply for jobs in singpore and was wondering, what would be a good base to put as my 'expected salary'. For positions and companies like EY or Deloitte as a Manager in Advisory?

I just checked my POSB to confirm, there's no such charge with my balance around 1.5k
Maybe for DBS only

Mind giving me a quick summary of what the multiplier account gives us?
I took a quick glance, looks something like UOB's One Account where you get cashback or extra interest the more criteria you meet

Okay, now I'm confused..EP holders aren't allowed to open normal savings account? Must open this multiplier account? I'm only going Singapore late April, so haven't open any accounts there yet.

biggrin.gif OCBC 360 interest too good. Dump all my savings there. The interest difference is like 40 times. i.e. $4 vs $0.4 something like that doh.gif

So... That $2 fall below fee actually also not much compared to the interest given by OCBC360 biggrin.gif
