I will be having an interview offered by a IT consultant firm in Singapore.
Let's say my current salary in M'sia is RM9k (with 8 years of working experience), should I put my expected salary as SGD9k? Or must put lesser than that?
Please advise as I have not worked there before.

Pay has to be market rate. Don't use old MY salary for benchmark

You should do research on your industry, job scope etc.

Check SG market rate and adjust accordingly.
Not necessarily less than your MYR equivalent pay.

Glassdoor etc.

Which bus u took ?

Looks like I am really lucky

doh.gif Don't mention. The bus is good the seat is good and I think caused delayed too long many passengers not boarding so many empty seats.

But the driver a bit slack, here stop there stop (but I think some passenger wanted to pee or something) then reach SG custom wait again doh.gif Maybe earn extra help other company bring passenger to beach rd.

so far which is the best method to remit money back to MY?
as in best rates that you old timers in SG observed so far
*
QUOTE(huaweie5830 @ Feb 1 2017, 09:50 AM)
Small amount = any money changer no big different

Most convenient = sit at your computer use CIMB SG ransfer to CIMB MY immediately but worst rate, or use any other bank online transfer , but got extra charges (unknown amount coz varies across the bank) but recently some banks doing promotion , got discount on charges

Best rate = only if u got large amount of money, directly do TT at those reputable money changer, example The Arcade , receive within one, two days , rate can refer here https://cashchanger.co/sgd-to-myr . But always long q, and you need to purposely go there during office hour.
*
QUOTE(huaweie5830 @ Feb 1 2017, 10:14 AM)
normally money changer will be higher than tat

https://cashchanger.co/sgd-to-myr

Tis website is cash exchange rate , so TT will be even higher than that
But if u didn't change much, not really a big different , jus go ahead bah
*
For me is hands down DBS remit online. The convenience + safety + no TT charges + not so bad rate (sometimes it will go higher than money changer when the demand of the paper bill is high). Save on transport also and I can transfer basically anytime anywhere (just avoid the non office hour due to the rate changes la). Even say like .05 lower, how much difference it makes if I transfer only 1000-2000 each time. Go money changer also need money leh biggrin.gif

I'm from the jungle city so if I were to bring cash I will need to bring it across the south china sea.

No point taking the risk right?

What position you are being offered? You should put expected as SGD10K based on 10% increment as i guess they really need some imported talent to fill up this role

Problem with recruitment companies salary guide, their salary benchmark is always inflated. Their sample size is small and only obtained from their client's budgeting data and successful placement

Use this Benchmarking Tool from S'pore's MOM Statistics - cover nearly the population

http://stats.mom.gov.sg/bt/Pages/Home.aspx

Must click to Agree with TnC and select "Occupational Wage Search" to benchmark

Do you mean 24 months contract at ~$100 /month with 0 downpayment?
Down payment refers to the amount you pay upfront (example $300 downpayment, and then $50 /month for 24 months)
*
Phone Price / 24 months = monthly payment. sry this not downpayment and downpayment is zero and tie to your credit card for the monthly payment. This week they got roadshow, you can go and check the info out.

Hello everyone,

I recently took a job offer at GF Tampines. Anyone else here working there? Due to certain reasons I'm only able to stay in JB and not Singapore. Any one can give an estimate on what time to leave daily for work?

Also, any recommendations for SIM card/bank account? My E pass is in progress.

Never used remittance service by the money changer. So not sure about their service but You can use either DBS remit or transferwise. Both of them have a very good rate (close to market rate) and the fees are very low. I prefers Transferwise because they have more currencies available to transfer your money not just for SGD. I used to live in US & UK for years and this is the service that I used to transfer the money back home. So far, they are really good, fast and user friendly.

ps: You can register from the link below for Transferwise if you are interested. I'm not working for them btw. haha smile.gif
