Hi, there. I have graduated in last year and have been jobs hunting for months in Malaysia and Singapore but no luck.
May I ask how do us Malaysians apply jobs in Singapore? Do you guys just apply through recruitment agencies or get introduce/offer by someone?

I have been applying for 2 years since fresh grad. Meanwhile, I am also working in JB to get exp. Finally, I got one biggrin.gif

Most people I heard are recommended by insider/friends.
I apply through websites, agents don't normally contact me.

That's part of my plans too, if i can't get into Sg now then I should get a job in Msia and work for a year or 2 and then apply for jobs in Sg again.

All the people who I know in Sg are working in business and commerce sectors. I asked them for some help but it's very difficult as they do not have the authority in employment.

Mhmm, understood.
The competition in this field demand is high while supply is low.
Malaysia hard to find while Sg require quite a number of relevant working experiences. cry.gif

I think that is actually the best. Working in Malaysia and apply for jobs in Sg, win win solution.
I have been applying in both countries even irrelevant jobs/positions so I could get working experiences too but sigh... unsure.gif

Living far from big cities are just so difficult to look for jobs with family members keep pressuring me with the same question everyday when will I get a job :c

Thanks. But Transferwise is reliable? Because usually will send by large sum. And is it able to send to any bank?

I normally using DBS to remit online. At least DBS won't eat my money biggrin.gif Always send to Maybank so far never fail.

QUOTE(RickJames09 @ Feb 8 2017, 10:43 AM)
Yes very reliable from my previous experience. Have been using it for the past 3-4 years. Never encountered any bad experience. Yes, any bank.

How about the rate? Good? The rate that it shows when we key in at the website accurate?

QUOTE(simonhtz @ Feb 8 2017, 01:33 PM)
Err...I think "can" is more annoying. Not annoying per se, but well, it's like a signature. smile.gif
*
I can't understand "sia" and sometimes in msg my colleague always type "gg" which for gamers it stands for good game but they treat it as gotta go/gonna

I think other still ok biggrin.gif

hi guys, how is your experience in renting room in singapore?
Will you prefer to stay with house owner or renting from a main tenant?

I prefer without owner, even if they sometimes cook, wash your cloth and iron for you.

Look for jobs that you are interested in Malaysia and Sg. But do remember to keep yourself to learning and improving your skills to the particular field.
The more skills you have common to the field, the better chances you are to get employed.
Keep trying and persevere. If you are not strong financially, just get a local job while looking for Sg jobs.
Make it a win win situation that the local job is a relevant exp to your next job in Sg biggrin.gif

Software engineering is hot in Sg now. A friend from Msia fresh grad entered US MNC in Sg as software engineer for 3k SGD biggrin.gif
I think Sg companies only want experienced workers.
